Rank sucks for people who are in lower elo. Gold is still low elo but people actually learn from there mistakes and don't rage a lot atleast. I made a bronze smurf, played a few games and it was just terrible. I carried all of them which is some thing you respected but it's what people did that made it so bad. I got a Mundo top against Vlad, rushed a sunfire went 0-5. I told him to get magic resist so he can't take that much damage but instead he told me this, stfu and worry about your self. I can see why people say elo hell exist, it's so god damn bad that when you want to help others you just get harassed by them. Game was over went to the next. I got adc, got fed, 17 minutes in and our mid laner said this. "Sorry guys I have to go to sleep since my parents said so." We ended up winning but still imagine if I wasn't there? Our team could've lost because some guy had to leave. Every thing else is fine on rank, but people who decide to make the most retarded decisions make me so god damn mad.

Its always bad at the low end. Once you get out though i feel like most people believe it isnt too bad. I hated playing in s5. Took me forever to get out of s5 compared to s1 s2 s3 and even s4.

Idk diamond is pretty fun Not a lot of ragers and I can learn a lot from each game The people are nice and I have fun with them I usually get the role I want ( mid and support) but I can do all roles pretty well so that's good And I mean I got my goal of diamond through a really hard grind (s1 to diamond in a week) Sadly be been on vacation for 2 weeks now and I'm coming back October 17th so hopefully I don't decay.. Uh matchmaking is good, normals I go against masters for some weird reason but I still do well Ranked I go against diamonds also and no plats so I don't really have any complaints!

lack of communication and people making stupid decisions and most importantly people who surrender because they didnt snowball early ive been playing for 4-5 years and ive have only seen these more frequently than 2/20 games in that last year since october 2014 before then it was mostly connection problems idk if most of the community got panties or not and not even those bad btch dont let me have to knock a btch out panties those old grandma panties. i dont have a problem with the promotion games because it really doesnt punish you more if you get a dc in a ranked match you and lose you dont get the lp to get to promos if you get a dc in a ranked promotion match you lose you lose 1 promo counter its more or less the same its just the importance that you put on the match but if you dont win the matches. i dont carry games with kills i much rather make plays and secure objectives and if it comes to it give up my own life for the cause and i find myself often matched versus teams with one gold or silver on my enemies team idk if its cause my mmr or the people who im playing with's mmr is high or that player's mmr is just low cause im in bronze and only been as far as silver 5 and promos for silver 4 which around then the surrendering started to pick up

It's simply not worth it. Matchmaking, Placement results and LP gain/loss is so messed up that the only reason to play Ranked (for me at least) is if a champion you like gets the Victorious skin and reach Gold to get it.

It would be difficult for the ranked experience in this game to be any worse. We all know the reasons already, as does Riot, but the primary problem is that they either don't care, or the problems exist by design.

I just managed to get to Silver not too long ago. I got Silver 4 promos twice yesterday, but lost the first one because I was just plain stupid. The second one I lost because everyone lost their lanes (including me) and enemy Riven and Fizz snowballed hard. Another game in that series top and mid fed, and I couldn't really do anything against Panth and Leblanc. (Leblanc would burst me and I did no damage to Panth with his shield.) I'd say at least 3/5 games I play I get either a troll, a feeder, or an afk. And 5/6 games I get someone who is constantly arguing, raging, or is really toxic. I know I'm not great by any means, but if people in low elo could just play A LITTLE smarter, ward a bit more, and know when to fall back, it'd be a lot nicer. Honestly, I don't know why I even play ranked anymore when people are so demoralizing. Even when it isn't directed towards you, it still makes you feel terrible. I linked a screenshot of something someone said during a Ranked game. He was flaming so much, I muted him. He was complaining even before minions got to lane... https://gyazo.com/2e02d18c0cfed2958c97dfebc7a705fa

That's why I mostly play unranked. Ranked is just a headache all the time.

My personal ranked experiences have been terrible.

My first beef with is with the solo que has soured me mainly because of their promo system. It is a bad system that punishes you more harshly if someone disconnects, trolls, refuses to communicate, etc during that game. Also, the players that you get paired with in low elo have so many different problems such as small champion pool, can only play one position, no knowledge of the macrogame, lack of runes, and often suffer from "it works" syndrome that it makes me wonder why one can join ranked with only 16 champions as the only requirement.

My second beef is with the match making system. Since the former problems with solo que turned me off from ranked I thought I would make a 5's team so I know the skill level and ability or my teammates. Also, I find league most enjoyable when played as a strategic 5v5 game as it seems to be intended and built around. Our team consists of a group of guys between bronze 2 and silver 3. In our last match we played a team composed of one diamond, two gold, and two silver players. In fact, one of them apologized to us after the game saying that he was sorry for their team being in Bronze I . Throughout all of our games we are always seeing platinum players mixed in with gold, silver, and bronze going up against us. League being a game where snowballing one champion can lead to a victory makes having a plat or diamond player on one side and not the other patently unfair, and most importantly not very much fun.

tl;dr I can't escape the poor ranked and match making experience whether if be in solo que or ranked team
