Pantheon Spear- Needs to be a Skillshot

Why is Pantheon's thrown spear a lock-on ability? It's just, choose a target and snipe their health away. Being a tanky champion like he is, that's just a little over-powered. He can just stand back and click you all match dealing tons of damage. I get the concept of Pantheon throwing a spear.. But can we at least make it a skillshot? It doesn't seem very heroic to stand back from battle all game, and Pantheon is Pantheon! He's the pinnacle of "warriorism" for Targon. He is the embodiment of battle. He shouldn't be encouraged to sit around in the back without consequences. Make the spear a skillshot, and he runs the risk of missing- which would make him think twice before just standing in the back all match.

You do realize that turning it into a skill shot in his current kit would basically be a massive gutting unless you give him major compensation buffs?

Because that's reliable damage he's suddenly losing. Damage he needs to be a bully in lane.

I'm not saying his kit doesn't need changes. I'm just saying that making his spear a skill shot and changing nothing else wouldn't fix him, it'd kill him.

Dude needs multiple changes.

Pantheon balance wise would have to be highly compensated if his most powerful laning tool was changed into a skill shot.

Too bad. They nerfed all my champs. And of course it's his most powerful tool. A heat seeking spear? Give me a break..

I also hate it. But I think making it more mana hungry would be a better trade.

So what you're asking for is instead of Pantheon poking you down to roughly 40% health and then all-inning you, he should be able to all-in you at 100%? Because that's what you're asking. You're asking for someone with the burst of Zed and the tankiness of Darius.

Why do we need someone like that?
