Group queues are toxic.

For the game, I mean. Assuming I understand that word. I always thought it meant "lethal if ingested" but English slang seems to change every other day.

Anyway, they're bad. Group queues possess all the following:

  • Coordinated pick strategies, many of which are pure cheese that are so insanely niche there's no way you can be expected to know how to counter them as a matter of rote.
  • Coordinated runes, maximizing the above.
  • Familiarity of play styles, allowing them to silently know what the other will do and when.
  • Voice chat, allowing them to verbally communicate while playing when the rest of us have to type.
  • A willingness to converge on lanes or rush to early skirmish locations to 3v1 you when you're far too low-level to adjust to it. Something only one in every hundred or so teams of strangers will do before level 10.

Any single one of these provides an unfair advantage in favor of the group queue. All of them together provides an insanely pitched battle that is nearly impossible to win unless they're actively trolling or drunk.

Please strongly consider relegating group queues to games with other group queues. The few friends I have willing to play League (there are exactly two who are stupid enough to try it(すみません伊吹、でも、それは非常に愚か)and neither of them are willing to deal with the insane ping that I am. I'm tired of losing to group queues just because none of my friends play League.

Please correct this flaw. Thank you.

You pick and build entirely off meta, with offmeta sums and rune pages, play without life bars, consistently have been bronze (not the gold that you said), somehow think that cleanse is the best sum ever in every role, admit to taking troll picks in roles (in bronze, btw) with all but 2 games being either mobi's or swifties, and from what I can tell haven't been higher than 4th in skill level in the game in your match history, and want to call groups toxic?

Mate groups can be toxic but not for those reasons, from my point of view you are the epitome of the teammate no one wants to get on their team, who builds troll items on random champs and has cleanse permanently on and never takes flash. People that are just starting or people that aren't that good and are actually trying to get better are the ones who are having these games ruined for them, and although blindpick is a massive flustercluck, cheese strats and weird comps go all the way up. Unfortunately, however, so do trolls, and while some of your "xd random lulz" shit works, it will get reported and hopefully punished if you manage to climb out at all, as this is a much bigger issue than anything groups do, outside of 4 man flaming one dude all game

Most Group Queues play flex where this is status quo, or they play norms and generally either meme or just try to have fun with their friends. Yeah sometimes they tryhard and are generally more coordinated than you team, but also sometimes it do be like that.

on the flipside, as I look through your match history I see that you primarily play blind games, (where almost everyone is still learning and group queues just troll, Source: 5 man all lethal tempo blind pick squad) going cleanse/tp and building things like Seraphs/Coin Nami, Ohmwerecker/Visage Ornn and double Iceborn Garen all with negative K/D. I suggest you watch some videos on itemization and other league basics and read up on a couple Mobafire/ProGuides guides to help improve. Also move to draft, because most people there care more about winning than blind pick and are generally better.

Or you know most group queues are generally talking and having fun so it isn't nearly as harsh as you make it sound, also for voice chat you can always put a dc link the the champ select, its what i do in ranked to assure victory
