So new Kayle is melee until lvl 11?

Am I reading that right? Full melee autos besides abilities until level 11 and then pure ranged after? With zero mobility (a small go fast doesn't count) how is she supposed to get there in the first place? Where is she supposed to go? I see her getting wrecked top/mid, support still doesn't look viable, maybe jungle? Just not seeing how this is supposed to work. Anyone had a chance to test her and have any thoughts?

Well from the one game i DID play with her so far she's extremely weak and vulnerable early. In most cases you can't even cs.

She's got a ranged auto on a cooldown with her E, and after level 6, she shoots the waves that let her deal damage from afar. She's got her Q for poke, and her W gives her a decent boost in movespeed for getting in close (or escaping).

I think it's a really good transition. She starts off mostly melee, then kind-of ranged, then totally ranged.

She's supposed to be weak early, and then become stronger as the game goes on.

she isnt. if she was able to, shed be broken.

yes, its completely r%%%%%ed. they made the power difference between her early and late even bigger than it already was. her lategame dps is almost twice as what its now (and now is already insane). her early game is the same without access to ranged auto attacks.

I tried one game as top lane on pbe and i can say for sure that she is really weak early game. She has no cc, no dash, really low kill pressure on early game (her Q and E deal abyssal dmg). I managed to hit lv 11 but i was arleady feeding since if i got caught i was dead 100% so this mean that i had low chance to comeback. I didn't reach lv 16 but i fell that it would be impossible to reach that level since i arleady lost both top lane tower since my 1v1 dmg was orrible even at lv 6. If i can i would try her on jng since here i can give up her weakness but i fill that she is just bad here too (no cc and small slow that is also delayed). Maybe making her Q cost less mana, i could wawe clear a bit more.

I'm actually excited to try her out, the concept sounds fun. There are lanes that she can poke and farm in top and possibly mid if need be. I actually think she would be worthwhile in the adc role (more apc but whatever) with the right supports against the right bot lanes. Jungle, as you mention might be viable. The one place I don't see her is the support role. Not enough healing (with probably a high Mana cost) with low range and cc would make her a poor choice for support I think

As if Kayle was somehow not this before her VGU? She's always full melee autos besides abilities (her E) until she hits the later point in the game where he E duration is longer than it's CD. Nothing has changed here, except she got a poking tool. Her old E was a clunky mess anyhow, so I'd gladly take permanent range to having to constantly spam E.

Am I missing something? Does current Kayle have mobility in your game? I must be playing a different game, because I don't see anything but a slow and a speed boost in her kit.

Overall, her playstyle hasn't changed that much, and her spells are virtually the same. She's just got a much weaker early game (as she should) since she becomes a godly hypercarry late game.

Like any other immobile melee champ, you sacrifice lane for late game. And from what i've seen her late game is worth the wait.

They basically just doubled down on her current play style. She used to be bad in lane with a great late game, now she's terrible in lane with a godly late game.

I have not played her but I was thinking to play her in the adc role since she seems to scale very well and her heal and ult would be really good in that lane for ganks and having the support all in also you can definitely survive until level 11 in bot lane most adcs really do not all in and usually have there power spikes around mid and late meaning you should have enough time to get to range and her range is the same as Kennen which is not great but not bad either.
