So I had a question, and I'm sure a similar question has been asked but, what exactly has made Aatrox such an out of meta champion. The past few games I played him I was told by team mates to play a real meta champion. I love Aatrox and his kit gives a wide range of roles he could fill. So what has made him such a bad pick then?
The game is more face paced than his kit is designed for. Now it's about burst damage, short fights, and cc. Aatrox is meant for a long sustained fight while doing a lot of damage. His kit needs Ad, as, and Lifestyle (I know blade of ruined king gives that, but 25 Ad isn't enough) to be relevant fighting, and tanky to survive the meta even though her gets punished for building it
Keep playing him.. you'll understand eventually.
Aatrox is super easy to counter vs anyone with a decent amount of game experience.
he relies heavily on auto attacks to deal lasting damage and has nothing to prevent being focused or cc'd. He has no tankyness outside of a drain tank which is also a failure since, again, he can easily be cc'd.
If you decide to build him tankier he'll just end up dealing damage like a wet noodle and will still fall faster than any real tank or even bruiser.
Though, like i said, keep playing him. You'll eventually understand why.
he cant rly comeback when behind a few cs or kills
hes useless. he is a worse version of few other champions. mostly jax and irelia. the thing is he can't be as viable as both because hes so damn toxic when he is viable. its not just the healing. hes highly abusive in lane. and still somewhat is he just falls off once the t1 towers fall off. he can't do anything outside that.
Shitty base stats, squishy af, you can get ahead and still be super easy to stop. It's just not fun to play aatrox and get fucked because your numbers are super low.
