What is the point of the off season ? @ Riot !

Is the point of off season to prepare for next season or is it just break time ?

This off season we got another new jungle. The jungle monsters got a little harder to kill. There were some interesting buffs added to which camps you smite and smite can now work on champions for a small combat bonus. The jungle items were changed up a little bit. The entire off season was spent on these changes that were actually really small changes to the game overall.

Now that off season is drawing to a end or has ended depending on your location, IT IS TIME TO MAKE MASSIVE GAME CHANGING ITEMIZATION AND CHAMPION DESIGN CHANGES.

WUT ?

The removal will have a much larger impact on this game than all of the new jungle changes combined. Why ? It was the essential and core item for many champions and removing the item causes their entire kits to need adjusting, reworking or tuning.

The proposed re re re re re re re rework / nerf to is the type of alteration that happens year around, (though it makes me furious) do not think this thread is about her. This thread is about who needs to be adjusted to compensate for losing the best ap item in the game. This thread is about who was about as unhealthy of a champion as you will find in any game with in her inventory. Annie players will need kit adjustments to make up for losing a item that made her good. I am not saying that should have remained, I am questioning the timing of its removal.

This thread is about all of the assassins being nerfed in various ways in one large wave after the season has already started.

This thread seeks an answer (from Riot) for why the major game altering adjustments were not made during the off season ?

It seems off-season priorities were really really skewed and the small changes were made a priority over the big changes. How long into season 5 will we need to wait for a actual stable meta to form ?

With the mana itemization changes and the gutting of the assassin class will marksmen make their return to mid lane ? Could we actually see adcs top, mid and bot become the norm ?

Why are the big changes being made last, while the very small jungle changes were made first ?

If you do not work for riot, post your thoughts on what Riot did wrong and what Riot did right in this off season.
