How strong is Lux this patch?

Around 54% winrate in Plat and almost 55% winrate in Diamond across all regions with close to a 10% pickrate.

The E changes and instant shield are huge for her especially since the tank meta has rendered her counters (assassins) near useless.

Late game damage with her passive and Ludens is absolutely disgusting.

Not sure if she's even OP, just wondering what others think of her. Sure she's immobile but the instant shield actually helps a lot now and good Lux players (higher ELO) can easily duel mobile champions.

Lux is fine, the meta just shifted to make mages a lot stronger due to the release of Luden's Echo and the diminishing number of those mega-tanky champs she has issues with. Also soon with, the massive change in AP items. Add in that she's a pretty brutal hard-counter to the Ez mid being spammed in solo queue and you see why she's got a decent winrate. Lux has very defined strengths and weaknesses and she's one of the slowest and squishiest champs in the game. She's not OP at all, she's just viable again and I hope they don't knee-jerk nerf her out of that because the meta briefly made her a viable pick again.

I play a lot of Lux and 9 times out of 10 when I win/stomp a game with her it's because I was against a mid Ez. She's a BRUTAL hard counter to a FotM champ, that's all.

She's my most played champ and I don't really think these ap changes are gonna affect her at all except now she has no choice but to rush rabadons cuz its the only massive sorce of ap

lux has always been strong; it's just that the instant detonation of the e was only accessibly for people with incredibly low ping. I think the main reason her win rate has shot up is because of the reliable harrass that all players now have access to. As for the instant shield- it's nice to have, but not sure if it's what has made her so good in the recent patch.

You don't need low ping for the instant detonation. I play with 90-120 and it isn't an issue. You can pre detonate while its en route so there's no reason why ping would effect it. But yes she is very strong. And since she uses Luden's so well (finally her e can one shot minions!) but isn't a power farmer like Ori I would think the ap item changes would help quite a bit.
