Season 9 they double down. How would a rational person expect that to turn out?

So fixing most of the complaints from S8 is "doubling down"?

Plus the whole "lose money" thing is a boards circlejerk with no proof, let alone evidence

Two of those are nothing remotely related to S8 or to revenue.

The other is a clickbait site linking to unreliable data and making an illogical assumption from it. Unless they feel like explaining where they got those numbers and show previous years, it is pretty meaningless. There is not a finite amount of revenue available to games, and the entire market is increasing in size rapidly year to year - one game overtaking another does not mean the other is failing.

Not to mention that dubious chart shows LoL well above PUBG, and we have a floor on how much they made.

You just don't like what it says.

No.. look at those sources..

Complete no-name websites that ALSO don't cite their sources.

If Riot was losing money, we would be hearing about it by major sources. Forbes, Kotaku, are two of the first sources that come to mind that will post the MOMENT league is losing more money. They are big name, reliable sources that post on everything gaming.

The first sign of a company losing money is closing down branches and firing teams of people. Considering Riot Games hired a ton of the people that were recently dropped by telltale games a couple months back, we have nothing to worry about. Stop circle jerking false information.

You're attacking the source because you don't like what it says. They all say the same thing.

im attacking the source because its not a reliable source lol.

I can make a website in 10 minutes and have it say the exact opposite, doesn't make it a reliable source.

Tell me this.. Why wouldn't Forbes, or Kotaku be reporting on the most active MOBA losing money for the first time in years. That would signify the beginning of the end for a game that's held top 2 in viewership on twitch, has surpassed Dota in terms of players, and has completely defined the MOBA genre.. and you don't think that the bigger websites would report on it?

Its quite the opposite of "I attack the source because I don't like what it says." You stick to the source, even though its unreliable, because it supports your agenda. (Which is circle jerk-hating riot that boards LOVES to do)

I dont particularly care what it says. Games go up, games go down, and trash no-name websites write clickbait.

It is just a circlejerk among people who are mad at riot because they got banned for running their mouths or want an excuse for placing in silver IV, absolutely no evidence that holds up to anyone who understands economics.

"X game is dying" is a meme, every community ever spams it regardless of how the game is actually doing.
