So why is it hardly bought by any duelist outside of Yasuo?

Oh right because it is a crit item which most duelist do not build around.

Because it is not a general duelist item, but an ADC (read: hyperscaling sustained auto-attack damage) item made for better dueling?

All are duelists, at least in some capacity. All can get phantom dancer to accentuate that.

Also, it's not that PD is a "duelist's item", whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean. It's that it's the attack speed/crit item focused towards dueling, more than the other three.

I don't buy crit, I buy phantom dancer, the 12% bonus move speed really helps with hitting those vitals.

I've even built it on Darius so I have that little extra movement speed to stop escapes. Built it on Jax to guarantee I land my stuns. Built it on WW to end the chases a little quicker.

Most of the time when I build it, it's strictly for the movement speed.

item 3742 item 3071 These are your movespeed items for bruisers. Although I don't think PD would be that bad on Darius because you can apply stacks faster and you have a huge AD steroid. Cleaver, PD and full tank could work really well.

In what fantasy world do you live in where phantom dancer sucks on Tryndamere?

I guess you might want to let Boxerpete know that PD sucks on Tryndamere. Apparently the top Tryndamere player is building him wrong.

This is probably the mightiest Tryndamere build. PD generally shouldn't be an early item on Tryndamere, but it's definitely a good item on him.

Personally, I enjoy building it on Shyvana. The damage reduction, movement speed and stats are rather nice on her.

Because its also built on graves, vayne, Draven and sometimes on other ADCs depending on the situation that occurs. That and most ADCs have synergy with either Ruccan's hurricane or stattk shiv in way their kits work.

Wit's end should lose it's MR shred and get the 12% and stacking MR and get the damage reduction in a different form. 3% damage reduction stacking up to 5 times ( max of 15% damage reduction) from single target abilities and auto attacks lasting 5 seconds. doing single target damage to another champ removes the debuff and applies one stack to the new target. Higher potential damage reduction but takes some time to wind up.

42% attack speed 30 MR Unique: 42 on hit magic damage.

Instead they decided to make PD a "I take 12% less damage just for hitting you once" item.

Oh god, if only they could stick that on a tank item and finally appease the tank mains.

Although, couple that with a "you deal X% less damage" otherwise everyone else is going to get pissed...
