"Shut up he's carrying you lol"

Not sure if this should belong in Player Behaviour but whatever.

So I still remember, a set of games back I had encountered a Vel'Koz support that was tilting to say the least. First of all I would like to clarify I am a support main, and I understand a lot of the mistakes that supports do are not intentional, and I don't blame them for the little stuff. Nevertheless saying, I was doing pretty shitty in that game. Not 0/4 shitty, but still pretty bad (behind in farm, enemy ahead with some kills). I understand the concept that if you're doing bad, at least let someone else on your team thrive if they can, and be a carry. But this was not applicable to my case. At the beginning of laning phase, I am an adc that struggles with CS-ing sometimes since I am used to maining support, and not needing to last-hit unless with Relic Supports (please let me take the cannon). My support had the exact same amount of CS as me when I asked several times politely to not hit the wave, not auto the wave he wouldn't mess up the positioning of my wave, wouldn't mess up my CS-ing patterns.

He said 'k' and continued to do it. OVER and OVER again. I got denied any possible sort of lead/possible opportunity to catch up on items compared to the other ADC. Let me remind you my support took a Doran's Ring. My god. I asked so many times, and said "Don't auto the wave please" "Don't take my minions please" And adding onto that, he took every single kill in laning phase. At this point I was completely irritated and I got mad, telling him why in the process.

He started screaming about HOW HE WANTED TO GO VEL'KOZ TOP and MID and didn't want to be support anyways. But how in any way does that condone his behaviour? I understand if I was being an asshole about it at the beginning but I had given it so much patience. And when I said "report Vel'koz" in all chat the enemy team was like "Shut up you're being carried" / "He's carrying you lol". I asked him to get a support item to ward at least but he refused.

I definitely agree I could've played better that game mechanically and macro-wise, and I have mistakes to work on myself. But how am I supposed to carry/perform equally when my support pulls this sort of ape shit? Hell, if you wanted to play Vel ADC you could've told me and I'll cooperate with a Caitlyn/Xayah support with Coin and it'd be better than playing that shitty excuse of a game. [sg-lux-2]

I feel for you... Have had toxic "supports" like this Vel in my games before too

My advice is to pretend like they're a bot:

  • You have higher AD and AS than a Vel, so use that to your advantage - time your last hits more carefully.
  • Forget normal trading patterns - it's a 1v3 lane at this point
  • Save summoner 7 for yourself and only use summoner 4 if it 100% guarantees you a kill/escape
  • Ward wisely - you'll probably be the only one keeping up w/ vision in the bot lane
  • Ignore bad engages - staying alive is more important than "helping out"

Learn to play around it.

if he took D Ring on support he's an incredible idiot. You can't count on those kinds of people to improve their behavior, you need to figure out how to play around it.

Side note asking for reports is seen as toxic, and supposedly one report is as good as 9.

Report him, wipe him from your memory as he's not worth the brain space, and move on.

People in this game worship skill (K/D in actuality) more than anything else. I could say whatever outrageously false claims I want, if I'm "carrying" then I'm automatically right.

Also consider just muting everyone in game. I've learned at this point that no one in League is really worth talking to.

Just abolish atutofill. It did nothing good for this game and reduces game quality to an unacceptable degree.

"Vel'Koz" probably has more letters than he had iq points don't sweat it just report, take a breather and move on

thats the reason why i dodge every game with mage supps below Diamond :D whenever you smurf and get mage supporter you fall really much behind because they take a lot of cs/xp while you are at base/or even when you are on lane. and they feed and or be useless the entire game while not even warding properly... but respect to you that you kept cool and didnt run it down or afk

Never ask enemy team anything. They will just give troll answers and mok you, trying to tilt you or being just mean.

I had so much games where our team has an obvious troll who ints 0:10, flashes in base or just ran it down mid and when we ask to report him they just said "no" and "lol stfu and ff"

90% of Lol players are just 16-18 years old asshole kids in puberty.

Idk which game you're commenting about, but if a mage supp starts item 1056 it is one of the indications that they're either bad or don't have any knowledge of supp. If you'd said them to go item 3303 first and they started with doran's, it is intentional. Though taking cs isn't against rule, not taking support item is kind of giving advantage to opponents in vision game; as a supp I punish opponents hard for not having enough vision by warding their jg and setting up ambushes. Now, as an adc you did great by keeping cool because I have seen adc players troll/int/afk even if I had taken like 5 cs in 10 mins and not even disturbing their farming; however, as soon as you see your supp start with non supp item just freeze the wave near turret-only last hit opponent minions and let them push.

I don't know the matchup, but freezing in bot lane is always effective and unless the Velkoz times spells correctly they cant take minions. Idk what champ you played too, but as an aa champ you can farm more than ability users; am not justifying their actions, but they've cooldowns and constraint on mana-but you don't. Lastly it is not advisable to write report player X, because that itself is reportable(strange right xD).

I remember I had troll/feeding/afk adc players because I picked mage supports, even in my promo games to Gold 4. It is all about grinding games and don't get frustrated because you will be seeing such supports and also mute chat, to save your mental state.

you asked in all chat for reports. you can get punished for that.

just saying.

Devil's advocate: He was playing to win. You weren't assisting him with that. He took it upon himself to win by doing what he needed, in this case taking 'your' farm.

I used to play ADC, and it does suck when you get behind like that. But if what he did worked, then take the W.

I remember the first time I'd ever seen Volibear. I was a Twitch and had a Voli support who just killed all the minions and permashoved so he could take the tower (Back in S5.) Once that was done, I was left gold starved as a Twitch while he roamed. But his strategy didn't work so we lost the game THEN we reported him.

He carried you and it hurt so bad you had to come write it up with a little anime emote to top of off. Hats off to that Vel'Koz.

Sillae11/5/2019, 4:29:08 AM2 votes

As far as I can tell, he didn't do anything reportable.

This isn't saying he did nothing wrong, he took Doran's Ring as a support and was taking CS, but there's no set rule that supports have to play normally. He was clearly still playing to win, even if he was being sub optimal.

Also "he started screaming?" Were you in voice chat or something? This is League, at most he started typing in caps.

If anything, asking others for reports is in fact toxic behavior that is not abided by in the Summoner's Code.

That's a shitty situation but there's one rule for the league of legends community you forgot

  1. Never talk in chat to any of these players

Seriously it'll save you a lot of frustration

So funny story, I recently had a brand support that just said fuck it at about 5 minutes, for no apparent reason (I hadn't even died or anything) and he started just taking all the CS he could and otherwise being toxic in chat when I called him out on it. So anyway, it turns out he and the toplaner were duo, and I said in all chat to report them ... Long of the short of it is, I got chat restricted for that ... So yeah even if someone is being a dick, you can't mouth off to then too much.

Support mains getting filled to other roles is a nightmare. Practically guaranteed to int.
