New HUD will take time to get used to.

Stop complaining on day one and give it a try. There are elements that could have been done better. (Personally I dislike the fact that everything that isn't available is completely grey instead of just darkened/dulled.) But you can't ignore the many improvements that this update brings. Centralization is actually something I wanted for a long time. Being able to see the cooldown of both your items, abilities and spells in just a blink of an eye is amazing. You no longer need to look to the bottom left side to view your items, something that EVERYONE will still be doing for atleast the next 10 games, but slowly you'll adapt and learn to appreciate the benefits of this new HUD.

The main reason why the HUD looks so weird is because it's new. Give it time. It'll become second nature to you, just like the old one was. No one can argue that cooldown on allied ults/summoners is a great feature and so is seeing enemy death timers without pressing TAB.

After putting so much time into learning this game, there is no reason we should be expected to relearn something as fundamental as the UI. The improvements such as ally ult timers could easily be added to the old HUD. If you like the new HUD, that's cool. But Riot should be able to give us the option to switch between the two. As a long time player its frustrating to have to relearn where my eyes are already trained to look. It's distracting and unnecessary. All I ask is Riot gives an option.

Thats like saying not getting used to all the other changes Riot did. This is not the first HUD change, and what about the jungle changes since season 1, everyone hated it and now we are used to all the changes.

I've played since early season 2. I guess I can say I'm also a long-time player. I have just as much trouble atm with the new HUD as you. I keep looking to the left to see my items/gold. But that doesn't mean that it's supposed to be at the left side. It's better, for competitive play, if the items are right next to your abilities. The new HUD will have its benefits in the long run. We all just need to go through a phase where we need to re-learn.

Appearantly you're not a jungle main. As Ignetius said, EVERY season the jungle completely changes. Maybe not the visuals, but the stats, etc. change so much that you need new tactics every season. These changes require atleast as much adaptation.

No, it will not.

Remember how Vayne got her splash updated? I'm still changing it to her old one every patch.

I like the central part scale to be at 50, but then enemy stats are so freaking small I want to pluck my eyes out. 100x100 px square with like 15 different numbers and barely visible icons.

That's not something you "get used to". It's disgusting.

If you keep using the old tools you'll never get used to the new ones, that's common sense.

Why would I use new tools, if the ones I'm accustomed with are still fully functional and doing their job as intended?
