Riot: So, let's just buff their damage through the ceiling! This way, they can just ignore their unreliable/telegraphed spells and oneshot people just like they used to!
Riot: So, assassins are too strong now? Well, let's gut their damage this time, so that they have to rely on their dogshit delayed skillshots again. This way they won't be OP anymore!
Riot: So, assassins are garbage again? But we gave them the perfect balancing! How could this be!?

are still instant, point-and-click, with no way for assassins to counter them in return whatsoever, other than to have enough damage to punch through them. Which, side note, is actually stat-check and completely uninteractive, exactly the way the community "likes" it. _

Edit:_ Dejected, Riot buff assassin damages once more by reintroducing old LW and handing out compensation buffs left and right for Duskblade nerf. And now, they sit in the fetal position and suck their thumbs as their board floods with rage post, and Talon reaches s3 Kassadin ban rate._
On a more serious note, I know assassins are strong now. I'm just trying to say that things will never get better. Assassins as a class will either worthless or pick/ban OP.
