Is mordekaiser a good pick? And what lane? I tried him mid (heard he was good against assassins)

Glad you're looking to pick up Morde.

He works really well in top and mid, with top being more consistent but mid being overall stronger in terms of position and snowball potential. Rule of thumb for Morde; if it relies on burst Morde beats it.

He likes champions that dive on top of him as he'll just destroy them with heavy damage. Riven, Akali and co count amongst his easiest lanes. Tanks are pretty good lanes too. Mid ranged mages and immobile ones are easy prey too.

Build wise I suggest a more offensive oriented mix: item 3116 item 3151 item 3146 item 3053 item 3135

He's a good champ. You have hidden range by positioning your w and using the deactivate damage to poke from a distance. Same thing with slightly less range with E.

You must learn to time your heals with w. Do you want more DoT and shield or do you need a heal NOW? You choose when to pop it.

The cool thing about Morde aside from his badass kit is that he can build anything.

Need a more bursty Q, stronger ghosts, and a harder hitting e? Grab AD. Need more sustain, a stronger shield, and DoT? Grab AD. Against a super tank? Stack Magic pen, it's really funny to watch a tank become squishy.

Morde is a Seige God. When you get a ghost or a dragon, aim for taking objectives, you will get one with it. I like getting a champ ghost, than dragon, sometimes baron, than tower.

You just have to learn to play around his awful base MS. Stormraiders is great, and I personally like to run exaust on Morde. Morde has awful base hp and hp regen, so the damage reduction and slow from exaust really helps you snowball early, as well as give you a fighting chance in early game ganks.

Guinsoos Gunblade combo is really strong on him, but it's risky because you are pretty squishy. I can tell you tho, for games when I'm split pushing a lot, you take down towers SO FAST. You have good sustain, and get stronger in prolonged fights, making your abilities and shield stronger, too.
