Trundle build?

So I've been experimenting with Trundle and wanted to know if this build is any good,

Ravenous, Trinity, Merc/Tabi, Frozen Mallet, Spirit Visage, and Deadman's

I mean, youll have success here and there with it...but...

My rule of thumb for playing Trundle is, there are 2 deciding factors that need to be met. #1 your enemy team NEEDS to have a tank for you to use R on. #2 your team NEEDS to have a healer(Soraka,Sona,Taric,Janna, etc etc) to maximize the potential of your W stacked with Spirit Visage.

You can build him damagey if you want, but I wouldn't. I just build him as a pure tank. Sometimes a support tank with things like Knights Vow and Locket.

Your role is to out-tank their tank. Youre supposed to be a wall that realistically, under the right conditions, the only thing that can get through you is a Vayne.

My typical Trundle build is.

Corrupting Potion. 300g boots. Glacial Shroud, or sheen if youre vs a laner you want to be fighting. To either be upgraded into Frozen Heart or Gauntlet depending on things. Spirit Visage and upgraded boots, finish these before you upgrade your glacial shroud. Next, upgrade your glacial shroud. Next, depending on whats logical Knights Vow, Locket of the Solari, Deadmans plate, or that MR helmet thingy, or Randuins.

You can generally get away with having Gauntlet as your only damage item, and often times, not even need a damage item at all. I like to hold onto the corrupting potion as long as possible because it actually heals a rather significant amount with Spirit Visage+W+masteries, and keeps you deep in the front line for a longer period of time in team fights.

Titanic Hydra scales much better with his kit and gives him some burst. Also hurts much less to build if you fall behind or the enemy team is snowballing.

Trinity is good, but not worth prioritizing on SR. Unless fed, most games will end before you even finish it.

Frozen Mallet is okay.

Spirit Visage should be bought every game.

Deadman's is good.

Merc's are weak and need buffs imo, but Tabi are good.

Merc's is there in case I'm against a CC abusive top laner, like Mundo's and Nasus' slow, Darius bleed, etc.

What? Darius bleed doesn't apply any CC and thus isn't reduced by tenacity? And those champions only have slows so in that case item 3009 can work just as well with the extra MS and slows being weaker (though Mundo deals magic damage so having the MR against him would be useful)

Darius bleed was reduced when I used them

I rarely bother with Mercs unless they have something like Annie/Veigar/Fiddlesticks. Most CC heavy champs have displacement abilities to go with their stuns these days, which Mercs doesn't really help with. They need to either reduce the price or buff them.
