What do divers have no scaling into mid-late game?

I mean besides Irelia, who is really strong at all points in the game.

and a bunch of other divers just don't do well late game, not enough damage, while also getting blown-out instantly in teamfight.

Hecarim may have a potent ULT for teamfights, but it's the team that takes advantage of the CC, Heca himself doesn't really do the killing.

Camille I consider her quite potent in the lategame, thanks to her Q2 converting all damage to true damage at that point.

Camille is extremely shitty in lategame. She's a midgame champ now.

Her E rank 5 dmg got gutted and her Q dmg got gutted with the trinity/steraks changes.

Because riot hates bruisers as a class so when they nerf them they tend to nerf their lategame (camille, jax for example despite them having been to strong EARLY) so every bruiser comes down to a early snowball cheese pick that is basically unviable in times when "lategame hypercarries" come online and start outscaling you at 1 1/2 items.

Because late game the backline yoire diving get enough EHP to not instantly die, so the team can react to you.

Its not that you dont scale, its that your scaling doesnt outpace their stats as a whole, and your job changes as a result.

Divers need to be great gankers. Which means that they are really good at getting their team ahead. But once ahead they should be able to close out the game. Imagine only having to win the game early game and then not having to scale into late game, oh wait this is Season 9 League of Legends, wrong game.

Because overall damage is too high and only gets higher as the game goes on. That's it.

All those champs are pretty strong early and are really easy to snowball with. If they had great late games as well, what would their tradeoff even be? It's not like they can't function late game, they're just not as stupid to deal with as they are early on.
