Why does this game advertise Tobacco? (Mother Here)

Dear Riot,

My name is Vanessa Sunshine, 28, from Melbourne (Australia). Last year, my nephew (13 years old) engaged in your game "League of Legends" (I am currently on his account). At first I was skeptical, however I allowed him to participate in the world-wide phenomenon of a game. However, upon further research, I've found that one of your characters "Graves" advertises the use of tobacco.

I'm extremely surprised that such an influential company would advertise such material on a kids game.

Will you ever think of removing it?

I think that OP is just trolling, but in case not:

Graves doesn't advertise tobacco in any form. That would be like saying that every guy you see on the street is advertising smoking for his brand and he should be paid for it. If he would make any claims like "smoking is great, you should try it" or anything, that would be an argument.

Graves literally doesn't have a single quote that is related to smoking or tobacco in any form.

It's not a "kids" game. It's rated teen. Games rated under teen are kids game. Hell it even says in the rating "use of Alcohol and Tobacco" but you only brought up the smoking part? Shows how much you even looked into the game.

Use of Tobacco is only removed if and only if the country has laws against it.

Lol, I'm 29, I played Grand Theft Auto 3, San Andrea's, and Vice City pretty religiously as a kid. I've never: Slept with a Prostitute, Killed a Person, Ran from the Cops, Stole a Car, etc. I played CoD for 5 years, I made it up to semi pro. I've never had the urge to shoot a person, or join the Military.

Nurture vs Nature. If your young are taught certain things, they will form a certain perceptive against certain things. Video Games really don't impact people's habits (outside of amount of time spent on video games). Graves having a Cigar in his mouth (Fantasy Video Game Character) isn't going to teach kids to smoke. Their parents and peers teach them that.

If your nephew starts to smoke tobacco, it wasn't because Graves, it was because of the people around him.

I'd be more worried of your sun being 15 with a child. [sg-lulu] though at least your last name's sunshine and not moonshine.

I cant understand this. He is playing a game where people keep fighting and killing each other, there are undead, magic, most men are like theyve come out of a mr. universe competition, women wear ever as few, there is a succubus, assassins and a lot more. Yet the only one you are worried about is the one champion who has a cigar...
