how do you 1v1 yasuo

with anything but tankyish melee ad carrys auto attacking bruisers. because every time i play a champion as squishy as him he just seems to be tankier than me and do more damage and burst my burst champions. like. I don't get it. I went at him with pantheon and I got destroyed. I know attack speed based bruisers shit on him. but who else does? it just seems no matter how much armor i get i die almost as fast to him somehow. well you can call him basically a melee adc. right now he just seems to be the counter to any champion that doesn't have sustained damage and 2 tank items. it just seems really unsatisfying when he E->Qs into me with him having no health and bursting me in half a second.

If you lost as Pantheon vs Yasuo the problem is with you not Yasuo.

Yasuo dumps on Pantheon late game in a 1v1. Although he is possibly the weakest duelist among melee carries, he is still a melee carry.

Anyway:

Aatrox Akali (maybe?) Chogath Darius Diana DrMundo Fiora Garen Gangplank (not sure on this one) Irelia Jax Kayle Kindred (If she can kite him) Malphite MasterYi Mordekaiser Nasus Olaf Riven Ryze Shen Shyvana Singed (depending on what you mean by "duel") TahmKench Taric(top lane) Trundle Tryndamere Udyr Vayne Warwick MonkeyKing XinZhao Yorick Zed Rammus

All come to mind as champions that could potentially 1v1 Yasuo IMO. I'm not 100% sure on all of them, but I think these are good guesses.

we were talking about the laning phase

At no point did the OP specify "laning phase".

In fact, if you were to look at his match history you would see this is the game he is talking about:

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2150108020/230990992?tab=overview

Where he played Pantheon jungle. It was over twelve minutes in when Yas first killed Pantheon.

Also, like, why did you make this thread OP? Yasuo was much more fed than you. Why is it a surprise that he beat you 1v1?

Panth would be pretty damn OP if he didn't fall off at some point lol

Akali Cassiopeia Diana Fiddlesticks Fiora Fizz Jax Kayle Malzahar MasterYi Pantheon Quinn Talon Swain XinZhao

Are all valid options even with not tanky builds.

Akali is very good into Yasuo. :( But I always win late game!

Stars Shaper1 votes

That's because most of Akali players think that the game is won after 1 kill and do not understand how to play past lane phase.

Can confirm based off ranked gold experience xin shits on yasuo all day. Top lane rush guinsoos and bork with tabis and a sunfire and youre golden.

"How do I beat a duellist champion without using a duellist?"

You can try people with magic damage that bypass his windwall, such as KayleAzir . Yasuo has no scaling MR and though it is usually hidden by his windwall, he's ridiculously vulnerable to magic damage.

Yas is pretty bad against Panth and pretty much gets facerolled by any dualist

The secret I guess is you just have to go all-in, if you sit around chucking spears at him once in a while he's obviously gunna outscale you. But if you just play Pantheon like any experienced Panth would play in any match-up ever, you'll do fine.

Also early-mid game it's pretty easy to interrupt Yasuo's Q which is like half his damage.

Wanna beat Yasuo? Depends on which Yasuo build we are talking about. Yasuo top may get dumped on by many champs such as: Akali Darius Gangplank Irelia JarvanIV Jax Kennen Nautilus Pantheon Rammus Rumble Swain TahmKench Tryndamere Volibear Ill tell you from experience, if you want to beat a Yasuo/ make him or her rage quit play Tahm Kench, Rammus, or Volibear. Those champs destroy Yasuo, but most other champs on that list can be outplayed of the Yasuo is experienced, and his q allows him to cs relatively safe. Yasuo mid you're probably going to lose. Late game Yasuo top excels at split pushing and will out farm anyone on your team guaranteed and cannot be dueled solo or maybe even duo, in teamfights you want to make him second or first priority, this is the mistake many people make, they think tank Yasuo won't do much damage but he excels in providing huge sustained damage and will still destroy your team if left alive. tl;dr Counter pick and get him camped early, if the Yasuo is experienced, you lose.

Its hard to go 1 on 1 with a Yasuo when he reaches his 100% crit power spike. The only way is to outdamage him.
