I'm just really confused.

League of Legends is not CoD. Despite the general consensus that your K/D/A somehow reflects your performance, the truth is it does not. Just means you are great at getting that killing blow.
What did you get?
The thing that sticks out to me is that you are also graded on your warding. You didn't purchase any pink wards, and you only placed 1 ward.
Vision is very important, and if I had to guess, this is why you did not get an S rank.
farm and wards count towards your grade. you may be awesome in some areas, but if you dont outperform in all aspects you wont get S.
you only had 154 farm in a 38minute game, thats quite low.
158 cs in 38 minutes by an ADC is horrible. I believe riot is finally confirming that your KDA don't mean so much.
I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but you're never gonna get an S rank with 154 cs by 38minutes.
The system takes into account a lot more than just KDA.
Mastery score isn't based on KDA.
in a 31 minute game u placed down 1 single trinket ward and u had never pruchased a pink ward.

Grades are a collective measure, meaning that there's other people playing Ezreal with better combined stats than you, 154 minions by minute 38 is definitely not S grade worthy.
150 cs is attainable in 20 minutes, and the game lasted 34. You also only warded once.
Also be sure the champion you are playing with is mastered to level 4 or 5, or else, you won't get a chest no matter how good you do.
154 CS in 38 minutes is like really bad..that's why.
Yes your KDA is great, but you had 154 cs in a 38 minute game and placed only one ward. I would guess those two items killed your score. KDA is only one part of the equation for the grades.
Usually, if it's a blind, full-on stomp, you probably didn't deserve an S.

Your farm was horrible and you only warded once.
It might have something to do with the chest thing. I think you can't get an S with a champ once you already got a chest with an S score before. I honestly don't know.
Sometimes I think it looks at how much you were grouped for teamfights. i went 18/1/20 with ahri one game and it was still a A-. But I went 8/4/12 as support another game and got an S rank.
