Why do we Take Dorans Blade Over a Long Sword?

Yes, its a dumb question, but I don't really think I understand the full answer. Why exactly is the 80 health game so game breaking that were willing to slow down our builds? Don't you technically get more health out of 3 pots?

I'm aware I must sound crazy.. but im tried of not understanding why we do what we do in this game.

80 hp at early lvls can make a difference between life and death. Plus it gives you life steal. But if you dont feel you need to take dorans over long sword feel free to buy it :)

Dont forget the 3% lifesteal!

Dorans items are very cost efficient if you can benefit from all 3 factors. If you dont benefit from all 3, you probably are best starting off with long sword.

Because that 80 heath can be the difference between winning a trade or losing it, it all depends really.

There isn’t anything wrong with either start though honestly

Harder to burst down plus you get a little bit of life steal as sustain. Champions that like to do burst like Riven or Zed, though, start longsword 3 pots, though.

So you don't get pooped on by the Korean LCS players.

In normal BS games in Ranked, or Normal, it won't matter at all, because people don't have the skill to make the difference. Just take the Long Sword bruh. [garen-swing]

play with a longsword instead if you can't tell a difference.

With tons of champions dealing well over 100% of your maximum health in a single rotation, the extra 80 health will help keep you barely alive when you manage to dodge 50% of their combo.
