So how does morde need rylais?

MunchCrunchLunch··2 votes·406 views

isn't a juggernaut's intended weakness is not to have cc. why does he need a 10 second slow when he can kill a squishie with 2-3 empowered autos not taking into account the rest of his kit.?

Slowest ms in the game and no one in their right mind will let him walk up to them.

exactly that is his intended weakness. rylais removes all of that because whoever he ults would have a movement speed of like 250-300 lol

So let's make it so he can never win lane. Great idea.

And if he can't slow people how will he even do anything?

Also Darius has a pull and two slows so "juggernauts don't have cc" is bullshit.

Juggernaut s Don't have "hard CC". Their is a Rather BIG distinction

It's more that juggernauts aren't supposed to have hard CC that prevents you from fighting back.

Mundo, Garen, Darius, Olaf, and Nasus have some form of slow or speed up that allows them to close in on a single target. It's not considered engage because (IMO) it can be stopped rather easily and is still hindered by creep block.

Mordekaiser, on top of having a very low MS for a melee champion, has no way to engage on a single target unless an ally is already there. Without Rylai's he can't get people to fight him because they'd run away every time they realize they're going to lose and will successfully escape. Even Nasus has his 5 second slow to prevent people from running away and Illaoi has the spirit mechanic which is meant to encourage fights to prevent the debuff.

Mordekaiser is the glass cannon of the juggernauts. I suspect that he'll be changed in an update to make him less item reliant and allow him to experiment with different builds.

Mordekaiser is the glass cannon of the juggernauts.

Mordekaiser with a tanky bruiser build is probably the single tankiest of the juggernauts, rivaled only by Mundo and a Trundle ulting the tankiest person on the enemy team.

item 3116 item 3068 item 3111 item 3065 item 3053 item 3742

A Mordekaiser with a variation of this build is indestructible and still does enough damage to 100-0 an ADC that bought no MR.

Because he can't chase at all. He needs the slow to have any shot of actually landing a third Q hit against an opponent who isn't a potato.

waits patiently for Malicious Metal to enter thread.

Because very few AP items exist that give AP and tanky stats.

Thats their weakness, a lack of cc. Rylais and Gunblade make up for that weakness and prevent him from getting kited as easily. (I stress the as easily)

You clearly don't play him but it's basic math.

Slowest movement speed in the game + no CC + no Mobility = no sticking power at all. Frankly I'm sad I have to explain it

umm. here is the thing. if am playing a immobile melee champion against morde. how do i exactly fight him when he will permaslow me for about 4 times the amount he takes to kill a squishie. the reason morde is immobile with no cc because he can walk into lane with an item and literally kill whoever sitting in front of him.

gnar can permaslow with mallet. but gnar doesn't kill me with 3 autos. morde does kill you with 3 autos. i've played enough morde to know once u finish an item (hell if u go ad u kill with half an item). that all it takes is 3 qs to kill anyone wih no mr or hp.

Gnar is ranged, morde isn't- And if morde is so god damn op why is his play rate still down in the dumps?

Morde can't force you to fight EVER. If you are fighting Morde it's 90% of the on your terms Morde can slow you with his ultimate dot( the weakest of the slows) but in the end you choose to fight morde that's your mistake not Mordes. Also I'm unaware of any squishy immobile melee champions which you seem to be basing this hypothetical situation on

Also morde has overall the worst base stats in the game. Idk what your talking about with this lvl 1 dueling BS

because Mordekaiser has 0 chase or sticking potential unlike Darius Garen Nasus

and unlike Illaoi he doesn't have the zoning potential to be a stationary wall either

Rylai's is the only thing keeping him afloat right now

Most of the other juggernauts have something to close the gap. Darius builds movespeed, has his pull, a slow and has high base. Garen does the same minus a built in slow but has a speed buff that also breaks slows. The examples go on, until we get to Mordekaiser. He has low base move speed, builds a little move speed, and the closest thing he has built into his kit is his W, which requires you to be running to a friendly target to get increased speed.

I think it's pretty obvious that Rylais is his answer to the problem that other Juggernauts have built into their kits.
