How do I Lulu?

Hello, I'm trash support main and I want to learn Lulu.

I'll start off by saying that I really enjoy Lulu and how her kit is based around decision making and knowing when to do what. The thing is, that I've been playing Lulu for a bit now and I've heard a lot of conflicting build paths and skill max orders. I've heard some people telling me to get Q-E-W and then max E-Q-W, but then others say max Q and W in tandem and I've heard other say max Q-W-E. I've head some say to get thunderlord's and others say to get windspeaker's and all together I've just grown confused on what to do. In my opinion, my mechanics as Lulu aren't necessarily bad per se. my problems more or less come from my lack of knowledge about the champion. So how do I play Lulu?

TL;DR: How do I build and play Lulu?

I've taken both thunderlord's & windspeaker's and you honestly do the same damage even when you take windspeaker's, so thunderlord's is the weaker mastery. Skill maxing is honestly preference & matchup, however I always take E-Q-W because your shield can be used to harass while also giving the ability to protect (I always use it to shield my jungler so he takes less damage from his camp). I'd say max Q if you're able to get off a lot of harass and bully your lane opponent, while maxing E if you're having a rough lane with a poke heavy support like Zyra or Karma. If you max Q first, max E second. If you max E first, max W second. This isn't a guide on how you SHOULD play Lulu, but as an old Lulu main, this is how I've played her.

Lulu Support main here. level 7 Mastery with over 120 000 CP on Lulu.

Always remember that Pix deals damage o the first target in the way, similar to skillshot or as if targets are all windwalls as far as pix is concerned.

Pix's bolts however DO apply to Titem 3303 , so positioning can easily land you more gold via harass from auto attacks.

  • Max E.

Maxing Q is stupid. Max it last. The Points you put into it improve both the shield and the damage it does and ti is more reliable and consistent than Q. Whats more is that Q guzzles up more mana than it is worth.

Ever since they lowered the Slow Scaling on Q, maxing it has been pointless, and now even less so that its damage is lowered after the first hit. You will mostly be suing ti more Spellthief procs and minor harass.

Max W second, but i like to put a second point into it early before level 6 as the duration increases with points and the second point is a substantial difference.

In lane, you wanna focus on shielding and look for opportunities to zone and us E and auto for harass.

Always prioritize keeping you ADC alive over taking out an enemy. More often than not, the damage mitigation your E provides is more useful, than the damage.

If the enemy Leona gets on top of your ADC, you will more often than not wanna prioritize Wing your Teammate as opposed to the Leona, Leona already got her CC off and caught him out, polymorphing her wont accomplish much.

However, in straight duels where you can manage to do it, polymorphing the enemy ADC is the smart thing to. but never over extend to do it. If your ADC can't capitalize on you using it, it is pointless and you will only leave yourself open for when its duration ends.

The kiting and chase power the speed boost and Attack speed buff W provides is sometimes more useful in the situation than the polymorph.

generally, if you know the enemy can be dealt with and neutralised during the polymorph duration, then you polymorph, but if the person you are trying to save just needs to run and get into a better position, you wanna speed them up.

E on target is primarily used for extending your Q range for slows as oppose to the damage but remember that it also has a reveal on it, so try to tag a stealth champ before they go invisible if possible, as it will make your ADC able to fight them back, and even let you Polymorph them.

item 3504 is a really strong buy on lulu that really synergises with her kit.

the attack speed buff it provides along with the on hit damage and bonus shielding make your DPS teamates monsters.

For keystones, i prefer to use Windspeakers , but Tlords can work for a more aggressive lane. Just be warned that the Tlords damage falls off after lane phase because of how little damage you are building on top of it being Tlords in general falling off due to being mostly just base damage.

Your ultimate is not a heal, but a Bonus MAX HP buff similar to Gnar's passive, Shyvanna's, Nasus' and Renekton's Ultimate, and item 2138 .

This means there is nothing wrong with using it on a full HP target.

Use it on the tank when they engage for wombo combos via the knockup. When timed correctly, it can extend an engage by several times the effectiveness.
