why is it that when there's a problem with a champ..

everyone's first thought is- "this champ needs a rework"

At one point reworks were treats that were rarely handed out to champs that were down in the gutters with no way up. (poppy, sion, remember?)

Now reworks are being handed out non-stop like its part of the game.

Every time I read the patch notes im just thinking "i wonder who they reworked today!"

This is not necessarily a bad thing.. but it just gimps so many discussions. If a champ is too strong everyone just jumps to "rework this".

Sometimes a champ just needs number changes or minor changes to how ONE ability works

Or, if we're going to rework a champion, at least make them recognizable. With the way reworks are now, I could mistake Jhin for a Caitlyn rework.

The funny thing is that I frequently played the champions you listed for examples and haven't touched them since their reworks. The same can be said of Yorick, Shen, Galio, and Alistar. The only reworks they have done of champions I play that I like are Taric and Maokai.

because it takes the blame away from the person who is frustrated and makes them feel like they are better than they really are, and that its not their fault that they performed poorly.

One of the mentalities that keeps people trapped in low elo.

"im not bad, everyone else in the game is just broken and needs to be reworked".

poppy was never in the gutter though, she was reworked because she was game breakingly OP

She was either OP or laughably useless depending if she gets fed early on. Didn't help that Riot left her in a state where she was unbearable to play as so people wouldn't see how flawed she was. I remember those horrid mana costs that Blitzcrank would be jealous of.

even when she didn't get fed she would still be OP because her ult made her immune to damage and CC from everyone but the target, so she can go in 1 vs 5 and win because the other members can't do anything against her.

riot did say back then that if she saw pro play she would be destroyed with nerfs

Riot has a very long backlog of bad champion designs from the first few seasons, and they've decided to focus more on updating older champions at the expense of fewer new onces. Much better design philosophy given how many champs are already in the game imo.

Now if only all of their reworks were actually good...

To be honest I dont think some of the reworks should have went though like the assassin and tank rework they just did for recently. Never played any of the other champs that were reworked or was around for them so cant talk for them. But I honestly cant see the problem with them before their reworks besides the fact that people found them frustrating to play against.

Because riot say that they stop the champ releases every patch simple because they wanted to fix the old champions with reworks or mini reworks?

Damn new age players of league of legends making posts...at least google "Why riot dosent release champion every patch" and get your answer dont make crap threads like that..

ive been playing since season 3, so i dont think im exactly a "new" player. Also, Please don't damn new age players, that's not very nice. Now, if you actually payed attention to my thread instead of dropping your "crap" comment, you would notice I had no problem with riot reworking champs, I had problems with people jumping to the "rework X champ argument" if a champion was ever out of line, since it gimps discussions.

I have also no where mentioned new champ releases being a concern.

In the future, if you're going to drop comments that insult threads, please at least read the post before insulting, thanks.
