Devourer won't go through, it would have a couple of abuse cases which would be too strong with it.

Wits end is viable btw: Shen, Udyr, Shyvana all are superawesome with it people just THINK it's shit.

viable maybe, but easily replaced by other items.

to my mind this item was too much situational.

wit's end hasn't been an optimal item to build since the start of S4. the increase in cost meant that it's early game power for the 40 magic damage was basically useless by the time you could get it. not to mention the change in penetration that made stacking the MR next to impossible because getting off 5 auto attacks before dying was so much more difficult.

i remember right when S4 changes went through, i instantly changed from melee on hit builds (my preferred playstyle) to characters that could just blow up enemy teams in seconds thanks to the penetration changes.

I doubt wit's end will see much more use because of Sated Devourer. Nothing else has changed to make it suddenly more likely that a glass cannon melee is going to stand in front of a team swinging away while they do nothing. The slot it occupies will still be more effectively used by an item that has it's full benefits immediately. I don't think a stacking auto attack item will ever actually excel in this game again, the way the game is played has changed too much, with team fights taking place in very short bursts of time, not extended auto attack battles like they used to. Wit's End is kind of like a still existing legacy, like, hey, remember innervating locket? That item was cool, man.
