No point in jungling in URF but that is how it feels to take drag :D
Also this gif gives me the urge to watch spongebob..haven't seen it in like 4 years
There's a few reasons. Experience management/gain is a big one; and the raptor/wolf smite bonuses are still useful - on a mode where nearly anyone can 100-0 you in a few second, ganks from vision are even scarier, afterall!
Though it's a way less mandated facet than normal, it's still not a bad idea by any means.
My theory is lane mains just want us to think it's useless so they don't have to suffer a 1v2 lane against Nidalee and Zed every other game.
True but then you have tat one guy on your team who has to deal with nidalee/lux alone
or the morgana lux alone... GG that lane
Then they pick vlad. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. heal. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
There really is no point. There's no lane phase. Fighting starts immediately. Killing creeps/jungle mobs just happen on your way to the next fight. Guys who go into the jungle seem to think they can farm for a while and ignore the lanes getting stomped, when really they need to be ready to TP in before the waves even start spawning.
As far as scaling goes fellows, doing 500-1000 true damage to a minion and having 20% spellvamp helps you heal in lane really fast. that and e-snowball will also give you health back. Think of Urf Nunu as an outsustainer. Nunu can clear jungle fine and well, Nunu can duel fine and well, but they cannot outrange at all. Consider the pick for peel and having a good soloist in top or bottom (Malzahar, Ezreal, anyone with a distance poke longer than 600 and can't be hit, or can push hard should work).
basically you want smite so you can dumpster the drake real fast at the moment he spawns then go back to lane your xp will be the same.
or u could not let your top laner 1v2 and feed 5 kills in 5 min. costing the game as you pve.

OR you can have a smart toplaner who outlevels the opponents and is smart about their poke.

I HATE NUNURF.
I played a match and he stacked cinderhulk and a ton of HP and he had over 10 million HP (because everything x1000 in URF) we couldn't even tickle him and he melted everyone who looked at him because of gromp buff.
