What if Impure Shots worked less like Vayne and more like Ashe?

Basically, what if, instead of adding a debuff stack to the opponents you hit with Impure Shots, you added a stack onto MF herself? The problem I see with Impure Shots is that, although there's some potential tank busting mixed damage, which would overall help with diversifying herself from other picks and give people a reason to pick her, it's all based on focusing one damn dude down all day. Meanwhile, Ashe can pick up focus stacks by targeting anyone, then just unload them on her preferred target when she has 5 stacks. Why not make it so that as long as MF is actively engaged in the fight, her Impure Shots can ramp up and deal more magic damage without having to be stuck on one target the whole time?

As it stands now, MF's mixed damage doesn't get much done in comparison because Vayne mixes her damage with single-targeted true damage, allowing her to quickly drop one foe and then work on the next one. With a change like this, however, MF could work fights by attempting to get autos off to ramp up, then applying it to enemies more liberally, yet less potently, than Vayne. Thoughts?

Ashe's stacks are a trigger that allow her to unlock the full power of her Q for a very limited time, whereas Impure Shots is a stacking DoT. Would you allow Twitch to stack his passive on a minion wave, then hit an enemy to immediately inflict all of those stacks onto said enemy? (Hint, this would be a very bad idea)

I mean, I don't see anything majorly wrong with her kit outside of all her damage being mixed and her Q and R not gaining any benefit from attack speed, tbh. The magic side of her kit's confusing to use and hard to gain much out of. Vayne completely dominates this niche with that said...partially by necessity due to their overall aim with the champ.

Strut already doesn't go away in combat, so she's able to freely attack and move with the speed of Mobi Boots until she takes a direct attack. From the pov of people that just use her and compare her to Garen, that's not fun, but from someone like me that frequently uses Mobi Boots while supporting, there's many times I'd wish my speed wouldn't tank just because I entered combat with a ward, let alone the enemy. Being faster than other adcs is...fun...but it's no much, and the rest of her tools don't give her anything to define why you'd pick her either.

Given what she is now, what would one do to make her something you'd pick over someone else?

I'm I was to be perfectly honest, I'd probably take another look at reworking her spells into the AOE teamfight role more than they already are, even if it negatively affected her lane presence.

Currently, she is an amazing Lane Bully, never truly falls off (She isn't a hyper carry, but she never stops becoming a threat either), her aoe ult can change team fights, has great/free roaming power, and can be very slippery early game with proper positioning (75% of the time, it's a minion reacting to me hitting a champion that disables my passive in lane, not the other champion.) Edit: She also has pretty good mixed damage, hurting tanks particularly mid game where they usually aren't itemized for both damage types.

She can do basically everything, and while she may not be the best at everything, she still does everything well. In fact, she has a fairly average win rate and is one of the better adcs.

The magic part of her kit is pretty straightforward: if you are an ADC, build straight ADC. Your W's magic damage scales off it (and hybrid damage has never been a bad thing), your ult scales off it a bit, and the majority of your damage is still physical. E isn't a damage spell, it's a utility slow.

Making it so it gives her stacks instead of her enemy would be a really big buff as now she can just freely switch targets and get a good deal of damage for it (instead of having to build it up before the damage becomes dangerous.)

Impure shots is a passive every shot does.

Ashe stacks up to empower her Q when she activates it. Requiring a cooldown and mana.

How Impure Shots applies is not one of her problems. She's already a strong duelist. It's her other problems that keeper down as a sub-par ADC.

Namely people wanting a hyper carry late game.

I've played her enough to know she is anything but sub-par.

I don't expect her to be a hyper carry. Not with her solid early game. But she just brings nothing other than the sustained damage part of an ADC. if that's what you want you may as well bring Caitlyn. She's stronger past lanning than MF and her early game is easy.

That's not saying she cannot do well. She is an ADC. All ADC's will do a lot of damage. Problem with MF is she has to do well early game for this to matter because of her lack of CC and mobility(in combat).

Miss Fortune has one of the best early games though.

And Caitlyn by comparison does not have as much damage as Miss Fortune in a teamfight. And every adc has to generally do well early game to matter later on. That isn't a trait exclusive to Miss Fortune.

If you still want to think that she's not a good adc, go ahead. But me and a lot of other miss fortune players know that she's anything but mediocre. Plenty of people, me included, have stated why you'd pick her over other adcs on several occasions, but I'm getting tired of putting the same thing each and every time. Sorry to be rude, but she doesn't need any buffs.

You preforming well with a champion doesn't make them good or bad. Nor did I say she is bad.

Caitlyn may bring less damage but she is much less likely to die and can do more damage overall.

Only reason anyone says to pick her over other ADC's is "early game".

And that's it. There is nothing else she brings that is special. And it's not like other ADC's don't also have good early games. And it's not like she's the only one down there. Support plays a roll too. There are a lot of other factors in play. Such as you not really having an out vs a jungler gank outside of flash or your support.

Can't say it's her ult. It's got so much counterplay you really can't call it reliable. Unless you build your team around using it.

Can't say it's mixed damage. Corki and Kog'Maw have her beat on that easily. Corki has a good early game as well and his AoE isn't tied to standing still for 2 seconds. Kog does have the weaker early game, but is a beast late game.

This does not mean MF will do poorly. ADC's will always be strong at full build. That's how their itemization works. As long as you don't get behind you'll do fine. This is an ADC things, not a MF thing though. MF still has no identity as a champion and is outclassed in a lot of the things she does, mainly because of Jinx.

Yes you can a lot others can do well on MF. Her winrate is not horrid, nor do I think it ever has been. In terms of game balance though she is under the other ADC's. She doesn't need number changes, she needs changes to her kit.

Vayne's stacks vanish if she switches targets.

Miss Fortune's stacks don't.

I primarily typed this because a lot of people state that they feel like she's underwhelming. She...sort of is, but she also isn't. It's weird.
