Ornn Upgrades and Non-Named Unique Passives/Actives?

edited TwinkiePro tested it and reports that the unique abilities are in fact exclusive, meaning the "Unique passive: +50% crit damage" on Infinity Edge does not stack with the Unique passive of the same effect on the Molten Edge. I think Riot should either name these unique passives to remove confusion, or they should specify in the item tooltip that "Molten Edge" is treated exactly like an "Infinity Edge" for the purposes of passive and active abilities.

Items with unique passives need to either be changed (if the new items' passives stack) or clarified (if not). For example, Infinity Edge gets replaced with Molten Edge. Both have "Unique passive:" to increase critical strike damage. So if someone builds one of each, they will have 100% critical strike damage instead of 50%. This is in addition to the +30 AD. Unless that's intended, but I honestly think +50% critical strike damage +30 AD is worth more than 1000 gold when you can pair it with IE.

There are a lot of abusable passives with these upgraded items if they stack: Molten Edge = 50% crit damage Infernal Mask = 10% damage aura (this might be protected by the aura buff name?) Rabadon's Deathcrown = +35% AP Redemption = double actives Circlet of the Iron Solari = double actives

Assuming these items do not actually stack, I believe Riot should note that the upgraded versions count as the original item for the purpose of the "Unique active" and "Unique passive" qualities, since in every single other instance in the entire game, items with different names do not count toward each others' non-named unique abilities.

I didn't even think of Dual Deathcaps with the new champ lol.

He has 1 AD scaling and 1 that scales with MR and armor, the rest are base damage only. Double deathcaps wouldnt work even if they did stack :(

Lol what? We were talking about Veigar .

The idea is if Ohm's upgraded Deathcap can stack with a normal one allowing you to basically have +70% AP.

Ah, forgot to factor that. my bad.

I'll test the plausibility of these.

They do not stack. I test this with 5 regular infinity edges and 1 frozen mallet, giving me 440 AD. On practice dummies, this crits for 550. This damage does not change with 4 infinity and 1 molten.

It is safe to assume none of the unique passives stack. Riot may have inferred that because these are the same items with more stats that we would understand.

you have not tested with molten, but you are saying you know for sure it doesn't work. that's not great.

edit: to be clear, we already know that unique passives on the same item don't stack. that's intended. THe upgrades are new items.

I'm sorry, did you just tell me me I did not test this with molten?

Dude, I have a PBE account. Yes I did test them. Don't tell me I didn't do something you have no idea about. They. Do. Not. Stack.

If you somehow don't get that, I can literally make a video for you to prove it.

This statement implies that you are making an assumption. You said you tested it with all infinity edges and then you just state it doesn't change with molten. I apologize for not being psychic :-)

I don't understand how that is read as an assumption and not a statement. Possibly the error of "test" instead of "tested," but oh well.
