Azir's movement speed nerf

Was a touch too far I feel. Granted, my opinion currently doesn't garner much weight but I'm more seeking the opinions of others to see if they agree/disagree with that statement. While I can agree he needed some nerfs and the Q nerf was perfectly fine, the hit to movement speed has been rather harsh it feels like. Chasing, keeping up in movement-based team fights, etc. It just feels like it's near impossible to get into range to do anything in the first place much less stay in range to keep doing it. Just feels like there isn't enough Q in the world to keep up with it. To put into context 1v1 seems damn near impossible now just because if they decide to run or back off and do something else, you have no real way of keeping up with them.

I mean there are times even if you Q+E to get close to them, they end up moving out of your range before it matters unless you can directly hit them with the E. Idk. Just feels like it's a bit too much personally. Anyway, just my opinion on it. Let the downvotes, haters and "go uninstalls" begin.

Eh, Q-E, E-Q. It depends on how far and desperate you are. I know the combos just more of a mistype xD. Point still stands though. He isn't shit it's just he has basically no duel potential anymore unless you're fighting someone with no escapes or they're just dumb enough to stick around when they're getting there ass kicked.

I think nerfs are justified. I just feel the movement speed nerf was too much and the wrong way to go about it.

bit t bh azir wasnt made to duel he is made for long range battles and with good positioning even with the nerfs you will rek with your amazing sustain damage also he wins almost every trade late game so you def aren't gonna lose that fight, in the patch notes rito said that they are trying to make the bad parts of azir and the good parts of azir easily accessible so maybe they are going for low mobility high damage kind of like xereth but with more damage and an actual escape

Difference is Xerath has the ability and range to hit those enemies at long range, so he is allowed to be immobile. Azir's range isn't as far as people like to pretend it is. Azir needs that movement speed and some mobility to be able to keep up and SUSTAIN his damage in the first place because it's pretty easy (and rather commmon) to have a mobile line up that can just move the team fight and pretty effectively negate Azir along with other in-kit measures.

If they want him to be immobile, long range and pokey then fine, so be it but give him the range and ability to do those things. It works for Xerath due to his extreme range, it works for lux due to her range, etc, etc. If you want to make him so slow it's hard to keep up and sustain his sustained damage, then you need to compensate it some how. Or just return his movement speed.

Also, like you said he wins a lot of trades late game, which is true to an extent but once more: It's simply enough to circumvent Azir right now completely and simply not deal with his damage in the first place. He's become essentially entirely team reliant so he is able to deal damage..and I don't like that.
