How is Guinsoo's rageblade coded?
Is the passive that proc's on hit effects twice coded as an on hit effect itself?

To answer the question in the title: poorly
spaghetti code
I am guessing it is coded as an auto attack. Basically just adding a GP Q onto every other aa.
What interaction in particular are you wondering about where this would be relevant?
I would assume the passive would be separate from AA's and on-hits (as after all, it's a passive so when it's on [i.e. rageblade is stacked], it's always on, even when you're not actively AAing).

Kinda wondered if it would proc on renekton W. It applies on hit effects and looks/sounds like it is a modified auto attack so I thought maybe it would interact with it.
As I understand it (not tested):
It is an empowered auto attack that produces two hits. The first of the two hits counts as a basic attack, and so can crit and will trigger on-attack things (e.g. gaining guinsoo stacks), as well as applying on-hit effects (which if you have a stacked guinsoo and it's your second basic attack [guinsoos rage only causes every second attack to be a double hit], will be applied twice on this hit). The second hit is not a basic attack, and so will not be able to crit or apply on-attack effects, however it will apply on-hit effects. Since it's not a basic attack, it won't add to your basic attack count, and your on hit effects would be applied once more.
So assuming a stacked guinsoos: AA->(on hit effects applied once), AA-> (On hit effects applied twice), AA-> (on hit effects applied once), Rene W (first hit) ->(On hit effects applied twice), Rene W (second hit) -> (on hit effects applied once), AA-> (on hit effects applied once).
edit: I suppose in the process of answering that I realized what you meant to ask is "Is guinsoos passive triggered on-hit or on-attack?" in which case the answer is on-attack.
the whole phantom hit on hit system in this game is fucked up. some non on hits work with the rageblade for some reason.
