Botlane champs that needs buffs and nerfs (according to me)

fountainAFK··3 votes·1,575 views

Currently there are some botlane champs that are totally unviable:

Pyke: Pyke is just way too slow for anything to land. With a Pyke as support your playing a 1vs2 botlane (GL winning that), buff Pyke.

Lulu: argubly situational and can work if the other team has mostly meeles and there is someone on your team to protect that deals lot of dmg. But overall weak even then.

Rakan: suffers the same issues as Pyke. Super slow spells that are way too easy to dodge. Even if you are stunned you have an additional minute to dodge his spells.

Sona: high risk low reward kind of champ, requires massive skills to play her (one small misstep and she is done), but unlike Zyra/brand her damage is null.

Kalista: needs a buff of some sort.

Tham Kench: people think u trolling when you pick this champ.

Nautilus: just not viable, even if you land a hook u loose the trade.

And there are some champs that are just too good and need nerfs:

Vayne: most forgiving/scaling ADC in game, almost everyone bans her, winrate is good, pickrate too, should be enough to justify the nerf, let other ADCs shine too.

Sivir: her autoattack animation is just too smooth and Sivir is too good at both splitpushing/teamfighting and 1v1.

Draven: only need one bloodthirster and there is little you can do all of a sudden.

He could use a small love tap, but he is not that bad compared to Kalista, she is basically not existent.

Tbh he just needs a build that works for him. Crit doesn’t synergize well enough and onhit takes too long to scale and doesn’t scale as well as similar picks, looking at you Vayne.

He’s just stuck in this situation of nothing works well enough on him.

I agree, but I think it's just a case of just every other marksman being unnecessarily strong.

Tbh I wouldn't even want Riot to buff him, but just to sort of make his kit or combos more fluid or make his overall gameplay style more consisten. Like for example...

  • His W (in ability name) states that his arrows are Blighted but only basic attacks arrows are affected by Blight, not his other abilities which are also arrow firing based.

  • His W has an active that empowers only his Q (I know that it would sound busted if his W empowered other abilities, but just forget for a second that it gives his next Q charge extra % Missing Health. It would be more logical if his W was an active that empowered all of his non-ultimate abilities equally regarless of what it would offer as long as it affected his other non-ultimate abilities), it would feel more consistent.

That's legit all I want to be explored in terms of being improved, I don't even want a massive buff that would transform him into a Marksman like Vayne Rageblade Silver Bolts...

Pyke is fine, buffing him again would make him overtuned. Sona is JUST fine right now. I do NOT want to see any Sona buffs.

i am saying this as a Naut main. You seem to forget one thing. Players might be caught of guard by off meta picks. I find maut hooks much easier to land than blitzcrank or thresh hooks because few people expect that particular skillshot size, speed and range.

Agree: Vayne nerf, Kalista buff (or at least a QoL change for her passive to make it flow better, cause it feels super clunky.) and Tahm buff (I feel like it should be on his E's gray health conversion rate tbh...PYKE outheals Tahm in gray health, and Pyke isn't a tank.)

Possibly: Draven and Sivir. In the case of the ADCs, I feel like they're arguably balanced, but very snowbally. If you set them back, they're not worth much. Particularly Sivir. But if you let Sivir waveclear for too long, or you let Draven get too many free hits with his spinning axes, you lose, and obviously, if you Leeroy it in and feed them, you lose even harder. If you play smart, you can set them to the point of no recovery.

Disagree: Supports, Nautilus. First of all, let me say that Naut, despite feeling a little undertuned by mid game at the moment, can literally go anywhere. And for those about to say "wtf, naut can't mid!" I will say he's a great counterpick to certain mages cough, Kat, cough, Fizz, cough, Akali or champions that like to jump directly on top of you. AP Naut mid can work pretty well, actually, if you just max Q, E, R, W and build for full burst (seriously...start with W, stick with farm early, rush Luden's then Veil, and by the time you hit lv 4-6, you're gonna destroy melee casters.) I don't have to go into detail on his tanking capabilities, because those are meta for the other 3 roles he takes (top, jng, sup) and everyone knows him. I don't think he's undertuned - I still think a lot of champions are a bit overtuned (particularly, most AD assassins (Shojin + Duskblade...) and certain ADCs and bruisers (Steraks or Guinsoos) that can abuse the highlighted items to an overwhelming degree.) As for the rest...if you give the supports more damage, they're gonna be busted. Most of the supports on your list (Not Pyke, but the other 3 most times) like to build either Ardent or Redemption as a first item. That mana regen, ESPECIALLY on Sona and Lulu, means you're gonna be dealing with too much poke damage already. No reason for it to be enough to massacre the enemies solo.

Nice April fool's joke right here. You had me for a second there.

I think she's more of a similar situation like Master Yi, they both seem like low skill champions (they might be, I am not the one to judge) but what seperates a skilled Sona player from a regular Sona player is how well they play their champion (example: not always using the Q Empowered Passive for extra raw damage, and instead using other parts of her Passive ability empowerments that people forget about... Which usually depends on what you need, E Empowerment for catching up or disengaging from an enemy, W to reduce someone's damage like Zed R).

It's all about how well you make use of her Passive Ability Empowerment options...

I suppose that's an opinion you can have, but I believe you are pretty much the only player in the world who thinks sona "requires massive skills to play her". Again it's your opinion, but man... maybe keep this one to yourself...

My opinion is that if you can play a champion with 1 finger+mouse without losing ANY functionality then it's HIGHLY LIKELY they are an extremely basic champion. but that's just my opinion don't need to take it to heart or anything.

Okay first off, it wasn't even me who said that Sona "requires massives skills to play her", and secondly I think you might of replied to the wrong comment.

Pyke nononono, I main Pyke and I feel he's fine where he is, any buff at this point risks pushing him over the edge, and knowing rito that'll mean he'll get some heavy handed nerfs that make him useless afterwards

Jinx needs nerfing as well.
