[Paper Concept] A more vengeful passive for Kalista

Passive - Vengeance at Hand: When her Oathsworn ally dies nearby, she gains bonus attack speed for 5 seconds and the killer is marked for the same duration. Attacking the marked target deals bonus damage to them, and if Kalista kills or gains an assist of the target, the attack speed duration is reset.

First, I would like to say that this does not mean I want to replace her Martial Poise passive, I really like the kiting mechanic. This passive could be added with Martial Poise, having 2 passives (not including the Black Spear item).

With that in mind, this concept of a vengeful passive is to make her a kit a bit more thematic, because lets face it, for a vengeful spirit, she doesn't really show it other than her quotes. This also adds with more interactions with her Oathsworn ally. For this vengeance concept, it creates a play style of "I will finish what we/you started" when your ally dies first. But you also have to choice to back away and recall to safety. You have to think about the enemy, "Am I able to kill the killer?" If they're around half health and they already used their summoners spells then go for it. But if they're still sitting around full health then maybe it's a bad idea.

I know this basically promotes wanting your support dying, but in certain situations it can be quite a life saver. Lets say your Sona support is poking them hard, but then suddenly, the duo bot engages on her. Both duo's haven't hit 6 yet, and sona did her best to damage the enemy carry with you but dies. The killer is just below half health and exhaust has already been used from their support. You have the opportunity with the passive to gain vengeance on your ally and most likely gain a kill, or even a double. In times where your support gets caught and your ult isn't available to save them and the enemy starts charging at your team, the passive can become really useful. You don't even need to hit marked target if they're all the way in back line. The attack speed buff can be just as used greatly in full effect.

Well that's all I need to say for this passive. Just a reminder that this is a Paper Concept. It can be overpowered, balanced or underpowered if combined with her base stats and other abilities. I know riot wants to look at Kalista for a mini rework, so maybe this could help them in a direction where they want her to be. Feel free to upvote if you like it or downvote if you don't, or leave a comment to think if it sounds promising. Thank you for reading this! Hope you enjoyed the read, and good luck on Summoners Rift!

I don't get how it's possible to balance kalista without replacing her passive or at least changing how it works
