Does changing ranked queues count as smurfing?

I climbed my way to silver 5 in ranked flex, and then switched to solo/duo to do the same. I won 9 games in a row since I think my skill has improved since the last time I played in this queue. I feel kinda bad, actually. Am I a smurf?

You aren't a smurf unless you are playing on an alternative account that is at a lower elo than you should be.

Why does it even matter? Smurfing is not punishable.
