Can we give new accounts 1 free champion?

I was getting a friend of mine into League. They have several champions they would like to play, but instead they have to play whatever crap like Kalista is on free week. Is that really how you want to introduce players to your game Riot? Playing a champion you admitted is broken by design and must be kept weak?

I think after their first game Newbies should receive a free champion token that gets them any one champion of their choosing for free. Because otherwise we are talking 50-100 games to buy their first champion depending on how those games go and what champion they want.

Wonderful, regardless, it's still a grind and to give new players a free champion would be unfair to everyone else, unless Riot gave a free champion to everyone else.

Receiving a new champion is irrelevant to learning the basics of this game. The 450 ip champions are some of the least mechanically difficult champions to play in the game. If they want to learn the game, those champions are the simplest to start with. If you're going to say oh they deserve a new champion because the grind sucks, then you're basically saying that new players should be given free handouts just because their new. Then what's the incentive in even grinding this game then? Why not just have everyone make a bunch of new accounts in order to practice one champion then fill the entire queue with people who are smurfing? Just because new players have a bad time with grinding does not entitle them to free things. While certainly having a free champion after a certain point like say level 15 or 20 may benefit them, there's often little reason to say that the main reason newcomers to this game are having a bad time is because of the IP grind. Nearly everyone knows that a large reason why the new player base experience is terrible is because of the higher expectations to know what you're doing when you're playing this game due to so many smurf accounts. So stop your condescending attitude just because you think oh my friend is like this so everyone is in this situation you condescending prick.

you already get 400 rp and a free ip boost don't you? Low level accounts get ip boost and then you can add even more boost by using the rp for more ip boost and easily get a champ

but really new accounts don't need to waste on a free champ, they probably wont even get the right one due to their inexperience with picking ahri. Ahri

Actually now you just have to play until you get a smurf on your team who gets an S for you. Seriously, new players are fine, they even cut the experience needed for level 30 in half so they could throw their faces at ranked even faster.

Ashe is a great beginner Champion though, so is Garen, though the new players can also get him through the Twitter giveaway. That means that they can save the Garen Champion Shard and wait to reroll it with two others for a free Champion.

That never happened for me and I started in October. I got the 4 win boost after verifying my e-mail and that was bloody it. I've had to work for everything else.

It's very unwise to perm the ashe shard from the hextech chest. You're better off saving low-tier shards to reroll into champions and using the essence towards perming a high tier shard.

Something like that might be OK if it were around level 10. After their first game, newbies don't know what they want. They might think they know what they want, but they really don't.

Give them a little time so they can at least figure out a few of the things they don't want.

And some other champions for RP when on sale. RIP old Fiora - the current Fiora is NOT worth the 487 RP I spent on her.

My first 6300 IP champion were Nami (my champion #21).

League of Legends Fiora is a beast.

I will freely admit I don't know how to build her properly (which is a rather major part), but also it's just something about how the champion feels to play.

I can't really put words on it, as it's just how Fiora, new compared to old, feels. The old one felt a lot "looser"; had a more "gung-ho" attitude when facing multiple opponents. The new one feels a lot stiffer by comparison. And feels a lot more suited to run home to mommy when facing more than one opponent.

I had some success with the old Fiora: AD, LS and AR pen (and then let the ult do the rest). With the new one: none, whatsoever. I've tried AD, CDR, AR pen, tanky, AS, even hybrid and crit, and combinations of the lot. Not one of the builds feels "right" for me and my playstyle.

When I started playing, Akali and Nurse Akali were both on sale. I remember my friends who got me into League were playing together and all I head for like 4 hours was fucking Akali. So I decided to go buy a 10$ card and got Akali and Nurse Akali. I played her for a week or two then I was bored one night reading through the other champs and Ahri caught my attention. I really liked her Lore and Abilities so I walked to wal-mart, like 3-4 milies at 5am to buy a RP card to buy her and wouldn't you know it Fox Fire Ahri was on sale too so I got that as well. Ahri and Akali are still two of my favorite champs. But I own everyone know and pretty much play a different champ every game.

what if they got it at lvl 30, and it's be random somewhat. lets say you play alot of champs that stay far away and are mages, you could get xerath for free seeing you played certaint champs
