Ideas for a New Support

Support is my favorite role, and lately all I've been seeing are new damage dealers, tanks, mages, etc, but not many that are purely support. Some of the latest are Bard and Tahm, which are unique and fun but I ultimately don't like playing them that much, Bard especially.

I would like a new support that is 100% about buffing your team or cursing the enemy, with very little to medium damage. Possibly even a support that does (no damage at all) as long as the support abilities make up for it

Some Spell/Buff ideas:

  • Passive 1 - Increase nearby allies mana regen by 40% and energy regen by 20%

  • Passive 2 - Increase nearby allies armor and magic resist by 8

  • Armor Pen / Magic Pen buff - Add 4/8/12/16/20 pen either for a duration or for next 5 basic attacks / 5 spells

  • Reflection Shield - Ranged basic attacks and spells have 10% damage reflected for 5 seconds.

  • Evasive Buff - Buffed allies have a 20% chance to dodge all basic attacks for 8 seconds

  • Mana Shield - Create a buff on the target that takes damage from mana instead of health

  • Restoration - Restore 10% health and 5% mana to a target ally

  • Silence Trap - a mushroom like Teemos that will instead silence any nearby enemies when triggered

  • Illusion of Light - Create an illusion of any champion that when killed by an enemy, heals all nearby allies for a small amount

  • Intimidating Shout - Lower all nearby enemies AD and AP by 20% for 5 seconds

  • Telewarp - Basically flash, but any champions that are right next to you are teleported with you

  • Raise Minion - Raise a minion from the dead to become a 'Zombie minion' that is slightly more powerful and controllable, max of 8, cannot be risen twice and cannot be killed for CS gold

  • Smoke Grenade - (similar to graves) when cast on bushes, all enemies currently hidden by bush are stunned for 3 seconds. When cast outside of bush, only slows the enemy for 4 seconds.

Ultimates

  • Killing Field - All nearby allies have a 75% chance to critical strike for 10 seconds, All spells cast by allies have +10% spell vamp
  • Divine Intervention - For 5 seconds, all damage dealt to a target is reflected
  • Ballistics Master - All team's turrets are healed by 25% and their damage and range is increased for 20 seconds
  • War Hero - All minions that are currently spawned have their health, damage, armor and MR increased permanantly by nearly double (can only be applied once)

Anyways, these are just some random ideas for support abilities, what would you like to see in a new pure support?

I think it would be super cool to see a support that doesn't do any damage to enemy champs directly. That would lead to really technically difficult playing and would definitely give a new challenge for support mains.

Sona, Lulu, and Nami are the closest things to that.

Though if that kind of champ actually does exist, he/she would be super underpicked. Heck, Nami and Lulu are already unpopular supports because of their heavy reliance on teammates.
