How dumb would it be to cap Nasus's stacks per minute?
Like, suppose you wanted to try and convince Nasus to come out of top lane and teamfight at some point.
You could change his stacking mechanic so that he could only gain a certain number of stacks before hitting a temporary ceiling, which slowly grows over time. This would also allow Nasus to catch back up after a nasty start, but it would still hurt.
It would mean that Nasus would hit a power spike, and he would be essentially told that he was at his temporary peak, and that he should (probably) use his power spike in an attempt to take objectives or a few kills to help out teammates.
I'm visualizing like a beam of sunlight shining down on him highlighting him when he hits the temporary cap, something that makes you go "oh yeah, spotlight's on, time to be a badass and lead this band." or something like that.
In theory he'd still be able to stack indefinitely, get to the point where he oneshots baron, elder dragon, and the nexus, of course.
But I get the impression that most players who play nasus only have one thing that they get immediate gratification on, and that's the almighty stacks. Giving Nasus a breather from stacking doesn't just mean that he has a moment to shine, it also means he has a moment to back, confident that he's not missing out on any stacks.
