Heroes of the storm made me realize how badly designed the gameplay feel...

Every heroes in HOTS have an equal amount of power curve, and team composition is very important as well as every single heroes is threat no matter phase of the game.

  • Gated by Oppressive laners Play Gangplank vs a Lee sin, You feel miserable early game as GP until you get those items, but you won't get those items because Lee sin strong early and mid game so he is basically a huge wall for you, denying your item spike. In HOTS, everyone eventually hit those power spike at a consistent pacing and not stopped by a much more oppressive champion.

  • Limiting champion potential Another example, Viktor is gated by his hextech core item, it's useless of an item and the only reason you even have to upgrade it its because it gives power that should have already been within the champion in the 1st place.

  • Tier List and Meta In HOTS even if your character is considered low tier, you aren't technically a low tier character, because there are more than 1 map and you shine depending on the map you are on. I would be nice if League have different map with different kind of lane and different meta.

  • Items that break the balance of the game and item diversity In HOTS, there are no items but rather upgrade based on the playstyle the player decide to play. In League items like Duskblade breaks the game by completely overpowering a set of class like Assassins, Divers. Mages build the same item everysingle matches.

  • Balance team spitting on X champion mains By reworking champions that should have never been reworked and then revert it hurts league playerbase by alot. As well as spitting on specific champions deemed as Toxic for the game Pointing fingers at Teemo Mains by constantly nerfing the same champion over and over and giving useless power that doesn't change anything about those champions.

These are the problem I found in league and it really makes sad that this is the current state of league.

P.S: Fix Lee sin R that stuns your champion and let him land a guarantee Q afterward.

I tried to play HotS but I disliked how braindead "farming" is

and LoL's farming is so much more interactive and intense....okey

Yes.

While in HotS you just get the xp (gold) just by being near the minions in Lol you get 0 gold if you fail the last hits.

......Then you play against bullshit like Tracer and Varian and realize that League ain't that bad after all.

Two different games. Two different kind of mechanics.

U shouldnt compare.

What aboit smite then?

Or hon?

Or whatever moba is out there?

Hots is a terribly designed moba. The lack of items and power diversity makes the game so damn boring compared to something like league or dota.

Uhh hots has power gating and scaling too

Murky is awful early but scales amazingly Compare Fenix (early/mid game focus falls off a cliff later) to Valla (Late game vayne carry)

There are things hots does better but league has its upsides too, power scaling isnt one of them

Is this just a Lee Sin QQ post? This seems like it is just a Lee Sin QQ post.

Lol hots is balanced? I tried playing the game as a fun addition or substitute for league. I've played lol for years now and went from a low silver tier player to a solid gold 4. In hots I placed gold 2 without even looking up any guides, knowing meta's, timings for taking camps, etc. I'd outplay 3 man ganks on me as I soaked a lane and applied pressure to forts in a LOSING 1v1 matchup. And get flamed by my team almost as hard as toxic noobs flame in league. I eventually got sick of it and the changes they kept making to the point I only play hots occasionally for fun. But I sure as hell understand the game better now - and lol too.

I might only be gold tier... but unlike most golds and lower who build something because blah blah blah streamer, pro, or website told them to, I figure my own stuff out. Unlike most players... I know WHY I'm building these particular items, doing this particular move/play/rotation, and when my champion or hero has an advantage or disadvantage.

I can tell you... hots and lol feed off each other's changes. They differ in some regards, but also take massive influence from each other including in the power various champs/heroes have. And I can say without a doubt that lol better enables a variety of classes to carry games. They do over-emphasize adc's... barring a few patches here and there where they make them unplayable, but not nearly so much as hots. In hots you have 1-2 enchanters (as lol calls them; aka supports), you have your cc meat shields to engage/peel/zone, and you have one ranged damage source that kills everyone and remains nigh impossible to punish unless you pick a very specific hero to counter said carry... of which there may be 1-2 that actually stand a decent chance of truly punishing them. Genji, tracer, etc. are utterly stupidly forgiving carries that basically negate the kit of most older heroes that are SUPPOSED to make life hell for ad and auto attack based champs. Yet you basically can only punish them through the shielding/healing and peeling their teammates will give them along with their stupidly high spammable mobility with 1-2 heroes.

Back in the day? Muradin was more than a cc meat shield. Arthas had multiple viable and fun builds that didn't just revolve around... land howling blast and soak as much damage as you can. I'd play this guy vs anyone, use 3rd hit healing option at level 7, and annihilate almost anyone through drain tanking, cc, and superior play. Mages who were supposed to screw over melee's with no dashes? Destroyed in 2 combos or less. Melee warriors? I out-tanked them and matched their damage. Tanks? I matched their durability and beat them in damage. Ranged carries like tracer? CC them and they were nuked. But time and again they'd take stuff like arthas and other heroes and turn them into being much more about teamfighting and being for one sole purpose at the expense of everything that had made the hero fun. Instead of it being... I'm playing diablo because this map has a lot of walls for me to stun people on and whatnot it became... I'm playing diablo because he's the tankiest tank in the current meta. And much of the carry potential of various heroes was removed along with what had made them so fun or viable to play in multiple different scenarios.

If you look at stuff within a class of champs and ranged vs ranged and melee vs melee within a class only, sure hots is probably better balanced. But they are not balanced across all classes and melee vs ranged. And they are severely lacking the the ability of various classes to have fair carry potential compared to league. League has a long way to go to improve on this too - at least a full offseason and then some worth of overhauling power curves and stuff, but it is by far better than hots in this regard.

The biggest thing both sides need to remember is that if we really wanted adc's and adc-esq. stuff (like genji) to be the only true carries... we'd go watch cs:go. We play lol and hots because we want VARIETY. We like the "awesome dudes" and adc's and everything else all mixed together and interacting with each other in unique and varied ways. That's why we are here and not watching cs:go or COD or whatever else.

Thats not per say a bad thing. Having x champ being bad early and good later on is not bad, if handled well. Your example is a bit poor considering gp can farm just fine safely with his q and e. If something its actually the reverse. You cant put him down, because of his farm range, his w, his ulti and his bonus gold on q. But that's besides the point.

Limiting champion potential Another example, Viktor is gated by his hextech core item, it's useless of an item and the only reason you even have to upgrade it its because it gives power that should have already been within the champion in the 1st place.

Eh, its their attempt at making viktor feel unique. Does it fail? Maybe yes maybe no.

In HOTS, there are no items but rather upgrade based on the playstyle the player decide to play. In League items like Duskblade breaks the game by completely overpowering a set of class like Assassins, Divers. Mages build the same item everysingle matches.

Oke now you are just being ignorant. I have played hots, and i while i havent played for a long time, i can tell you this much. Every moba has its own problems. Sure hots might not have an item's problem. But it might have problems with specific talent builds. At least when i was playing it was. Some heroes were viable with only one set of build.

Tier List and Meta In HOTS even if your character is considered low tier, you aren't technically a low tier character, because there are more than 1 map and you shine depending on the map you are on. I would be nice if League have different map with different kind of lane and different meta.

Small indie company. But in all seriousness now, riot cant do such a thing. Blizzard can because i can assume that they have more people in their company. I mean look at what riot can do, or rather what cant do.

Balance team spitting on X champion mains By reworking champions that should have never been reworked and then revert it hurts league playerbase by alot. As well as spitting on specific champions deemed as Toxic for the game Pointing fingers at Teemo Mains by constantly nerfing the same champion over and over and giving useless power that doesn't change anything about those champions.

But some champs do need to be reworked. Old poppy, yorick and sion had to be reworked no matter how you look at it. As for the rest, well kinda difficult to say. Through reworks riot hopes they can increase their pick rate. And at some extent they are right. That was the case with galio. Other times it was because they had a theme that would fit them better, in the case of nunu, urgot and aatrox. And in the case of akali (and together with aatrox), low counterplay. Both of them were heavily focused on low counterplay damage. Both unavoidable and both, easy to apply.

As for toxic champs, well, they are unfun to play against, like this asshole Singed. Every time you face them they instantly tilt you. Their playstyle is tilt provocative, and somehow their playerbase is capable of provoking you. Sorry mate, but such a champ shouldnt exist in lol. I shouldnt feel like killing myself each time them. And dont say ban them. Thats just a lazy design.
