What percent of people who say "first time (champ)" are really the first time champ?

What do you think?

I personally see most of the people I know who say "first time (champ)" usually Yasuo or Rengar end up flashing level 7 masteries.

Virtually none of them. This is also true for anyone who starts a game by saying they are a smurf.

I think that if it's not Rengar or Yasuo there's a 50% chance it's true. There's really no reason to lie about being a 1st time Garen or a 1st time Yi.

But if it's Rengar or Yasuo it's practically 0% true.

Rengar: 1st time rengar (goes 10/0) Other players: Good job wow you're so naturally good

Yi: 1st time yi (goes 10/0) Other players: ok do you want a medal? You're playing the easiest champ in the game

I usually see it because they literally have no clue what to do.

I do that. If I suck at a champ I say "first time (champ)"

Me and my buddy do it occasionally when our main champs are F2P.

"First Time Illaoi/Sion" and "First time Sona/Leona" can be funny when your playing with new friends

it depends. i dont think there really is a % of players.. becuase i think people do it both when they mean it and both when they don't.

for example.. when i try a new champ i either say "first time X" or "first time X vs players"

but i also sometimes get on my main (with lvl 7 mastery) and walk into a lane so my oppoent can see me "say first time Nidalee and then use the lvl 7 mastery emote so they can see that i'm joking.

so either i'm telling the truth.. or i'm joking with them

I hate it when they try to say they're a 1st time champ when they're not though, tbh.

I play differently and more aggressively when they are a 1st time champ and I think it's dishonest to trick someone, especially in a ranked game.

yeah well that's why i intentionally show my lvl 7 mastery, so they know i'm joking. and i never do it in ranked..
