It goes faster than any other dash in the game and grants a MASSIVE edge as it goes faster than you can respond, plus it practically locks on to you guaranteed, thus leaving you no choice but to either accept death or hope your CC counter was fast enough.

Xin Zhao's dash is far from the fastest in the game. In fact, it's one of the slower ones, as far as I know.
Also, how does the fact that Xin Zhao's Audacious Charge is a unit-targeted dash give him a "massive" edge? It's not like XIn Zhao's Audacious Charge is inherently stronger than any of the other unit-targeted dashes in the game like:
's Headbutt
's Shadow Dance
's Lunar Rush
's Venomous Bite
's Blade Surge
's Leap Strike
's Twisted Advance
's Aegis of Zeonia
or any of the 20+ other unit-targeted dashes in the game.
