Am I the only one who wants jungle farming to actually be efficient?

I know that theres an item that rewards you for getting stacks for jungle monster killing, but it's far too slow. I like that in dota 2 that you can either gank or farm the jungle and be useful later. Far more than in LoL. In LoL junglers are basically required to gank to put pressure on lanes. I don't see that's wrong, but I wish we had more options as a jungler.

What if we had a reward for stealing the enemy jungle camps? Or destroying wards? Or not even touching an enemy champion until a later stage? You can say that destroying wards destroys vision. That's not wrong, but what if we gained a permanent stack? Or extra gold?

When riot announced they wanted more ways to end a game for season 5, I was excited. In dota 2 you can end a game by just destroying the enemy team in fights, split pushing, controlling the map, pressuring their base all game, everything. In League we have that now, to an extent. I like options, and how they're giving us more. I'd like them to see if they look more to the jungle though. Cinderhulk was an amazing improvement for tank junglers.

Can we look to farm junglers now? Carry junglers? Perhaps maybe one day we'll see ADC's in the jungle, or we'll see tryn, master yi & fiora jungle again. Or ironically, we won't see them until they come out with ALOT of gold. Can always dream?

I think their design philosophy beind that is they don't want the jungler just farming PVE monsters unharassed and uncontested, then exploding out of the jungle fat with gold.

Pretty sure one of the jungling items gives you gold for counter jungling, not sure, but i think so. Although the mention of dota gives me an uncontrollable urge to downvote ;)

If the jungle becomes equal with lanes in income, you'll see ADC's jungling with a support instead of laning, and just having 3 solo lanes.

It is no longer viable to straight up farm the jungle, unless you want to fall far behind in xp.

In dota most jungling is creep pulling, nothing comparable to league

Junglers shouldnt be rewarded for fighting things that dont fiGht back. Laners have to trade, last hit, worry about other junglers, control lanes. For them to have the same impact wouldn't be fair imo.

Tbh, with the item enhancements i already think junglers are too strong.

The jungle is significantly lower risk than a lane, therefore it should have less reward.

Think about it; how do you deny a laner farm? You can kill them, zone them from the minions, force them to back, shove the wave into the tower so the tower kills the miniosn, freeze the lane at your tower so they cannot farm without fear of jungle ganks, etc.

How do you deny a jungler farm? You have to kill the jungler or take the farm for yourself. The camps are gonna stay there, alive, not dying, until somebody kills them, in contrast to lane minions which get killed whether or not there's a champion there. Tie this into how dangerous it can be to counterjungle or attempt to kill a jungler in their own jungle (the enemy team can more easily collapse onto you than vice versa) and this means that a jungler can farm the jungle easier than a laner can farm a lane.

If the jungle is equal in income to the lanes, then people can get the same amount of gold for significantly lower risk. This would merely push things to the opposite extreme; the laners would complain about having a less easy source of revenue.

Also, I don't want people to be rewarded by AFK farming the jungle for 30 minutes and coming out a god. This is a PvP game, dammit.

I find that jungle farming is more effective than laning.

What if we had a reward for stealing the enemy jungle camps?

I think the income should stay the same, I just wish I was on level with the solo lanes. Makes it so damn hard to anything when a lane is behind when a mid laner is level 11 and fed, your laner is 9 and you are only like 7 or 8 :/

I'll tell ya why!! If farming because efficient, Lee Sin wouldn't get played as much. Riot can't have that! Also, there are too many 12 year olds that spam chat "i suck so camp my lane".

Very Hard Engage3/20/2015, 6:29:36 PM1 votes

it wouldn't be so bad if they made camps respawn more quickly and gave less gold/exp when higher level. and were all around weaker. laners would be ahead and killing camps would only yield a small amount of gold/exp to them. but still valuable for junglers.

killd0zer3/20/2015, 7:56:01 PM1 votes

Because the risk of invading jungle to stop someone from permafarming doesn't outweight the reward. If you get caught countering once, you pretty much lose jungle.

BluePolarizer3/20/2015, 9:14:46 PM1 votes

The respawn times are making it so farm junglers aren't efficient.

I can full clear the jungle on 2nd clear and have no camps left with nothing respawned on optimized yi/udyr/skarner.

even 5 second decrease on non-buff spawn times would hugely buff junglers.

Just what we all want, junglers being rewarded for afk farming for the first 20 minutes without getting near a lane...

Also, couldn't this be abused? Invade someone, bam, they can't fight back unless they want to lose their bonus. It would have to be either too weak or too strong.

OP you're obviously not a high level dota 2 player if you say these things. Yes, you can jungle efficiently as a few champions in the game but the jungle is less gold/xp then a lane just like in LoL. While LoL is more drastic in this manner, you still don't want to stay in the jungle for the first 15 minutes of the game in dota 2 unless you can farm creep stacks extremely efficiently (think sandking or Chen).

I see Master Yi in the jungle a lot, haven't seen much of Tryndamere or Fiora recently but as far as ADCs go, Quinn is a decent jungler
