Can we revert the kha zix 90% slow? I don't even know why he needs it. Might as well make it a stun.

If I were to compare 2 AD assassins next to each other. Talon and Khazix Talon Require to hit both of his W for full damage and stack, the slow doesn't linger long enough for the ability to hit both part. Meanwhile Kha zix on the other hands has a crippling slow on an artillery range ability for what reason? There is basically 0 justification on this champion to have such a crippling slow.

sure

make it a stun so: he stops channeling spells he stops some dashes he prevents you dashing away he prevents you from using shields/heals/defensive stuff

why not

I think it was 80%, and then they buffed it to 90% so that he could more easily get on enemies and deal his damage if he lands the skillshot on an isolated target.

While that all sounds nice and rational, his slow goes from 80 to 90, what they clearly don't realise is that it takes the victim's movement speed from 20% to 10%, which is half. That means his ability got 50% better on isolated targets.

They did the same thing with Brand's passive, as a compensation buff for the removal of Deathfire Touch, they increased his % health damage per stack from 1% to 2%.

Not realising that they just doubled his passive damage. That change is still in the game today. Riot games. Percentage understanders. Galaxy brain balance team.

Inb4 50% cdr on Vayne Q in ult. Can you wait for 70% cdr on that ability where she rolls and goes invis? I bet she goes for that 5% cdr rune and biscuits just for crazy sustain and 72.5% cdr on it.

Eh? Pretty sure there's a minimum cap for movement speed, and 80% or 90% both take you down to that amount.

110 is the lowest you can go.

This. Assuming you have 500 movement speed, an 80% slow would reduce that to 100, and a 90% slow would reduce it to 50. But since there's this 110 cap, it makes no difference, even with more movement speed than what most champions will ever try to get.

A unit that is slowed has reduced movement speed for the duration. Slow percentages cannot reduce a target below 110 movement speed.

It is not as you might think unless you have 550+ movement speed already/

Just dodge the Q

How do you dodge a khazix q

He is a problem. compare him to talon again, let's talk about teamfights. Talon goes all in. He has e to escape. Once he e's out, he's gone. He can't instantly come back in. He uses up his w+q, he's completely vulnerable. khazix: e in. q. auto. kill someone. e reset. ult. auto and q and kill someone. low hp? e out. found someone else to kill? ult back in. kill. e resets. e out.

stop playing immobile champions is one of the worst solutions even if effective.

I just imagined Khazyx W stunning and I don't think my brain is even ready to conceptualize that.

IG Ziko4 votes

Actually he did need that for a good reason. Khazix can only evolve 3 out of 4 abilities. He usually goes Q,R,E normally or R,Q,E/Q,E,R if he is ahead depending on the game.

The reason why he needed that is because he only evolves W when he is far behind to provide some utility, bcause Khazix from behind is so useless (in counter to when he is ahead he can 1v9).

The point: this buff is made to make u feel less misrable when u decide to be a support and try to get carried.

He actually evolves q e w. His r got nerfed like 10 patches ago, unless you are super ahead, it is unwise to evolve it.

You also gotta remember that if talon hits your with both parts of his W you’re dead, or at least forced to back.

Tormentula4 votes

Its there to deviate him from evolving an additional stealth, resets on his mobility, or bonus damage and CD reduction. There's still a trade off when you evolve W in place of either of those abilities. He pretty much shifts between evolving W and R based on which is better at the time, if it wasn't such a high slow he'd probably never evolve it and go for his other options. I dont think its even his most taken evolution, he at least doesn't take it until level 16 if he does, or 11 if he's behind and unimpactful.

CC on assassins shouldn't really be surprising, idk why we're complaining about kha's slow of all things when he's the one that doesn't always have access to it lol

Rengar slow + empowered bola Pyke Harpoon + stun Fizz AoE engage knockup Evelynn charm Ahri charm (when she was considered an assassin) Ekko AoE stun Shaco fears and recently learned his auto attack slows if his E isn't on CD. Pantheon point and click stun Leblanc ranged tether stun + reset mechanic for it as needed Akali Talon

probably missed some but i know zed has a slow in his kit somewhere.

Zed's Shadow's E Akali Q tip Talon W return Ekko Q Fizz E slow Diana E Kassadin E slow and Q interrupt

Talon's slow is actually only 40% scaling up to 60% at max rank and lasts one second. Khazix's slow is 90% after evolved and lasts for 2 seconds, but this is only for isolated targets. Those two abilities aren't really even comparable crowd-control wise.

Z3Sleeper3 votes

Talon's W also doesn't slow on the first hit, don't think the OP knew that.

the value of slow over the years has deminished so much that it feels like everyone has a slow now. Its a little insane if you think about it. No longer something unique when nearly everyone has it.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

You do realize the difference between a 90% slow and an 80% (what it was before the buff) is like....7 MS after all the diminishing returns right? The difference between moving at like 100 MS and 107 MS is next to nothing.

LordGeovanni1 votes

the reason he has 90% slows is because his targets have 40-60% slows.

Didnt know he has a slow because as an ADC i die before he even lands on the ground. I dont think the slow matters when khazix insta gibs anyone he chooses.

Kha got his W buffed to sell more Championship Kha skins. Riot has been doing this for many years now, over buff a champion when they really want to sell a nice new skin

lol with how slow Kha's E is and his permastealth ult evolution gone, I think he really needs the slow on his W tbh. He's pretty dogshit already as a diving assassin.

pretty sure somebody did the maths and the difference between an 80% slow and a 90% one is negligible. It was a meaningless buff, he's fine.
