Edit: Need to change the title to AFKs/Trolls

Finally back into my Promos to Platinum, and I'm 2 wins and 1 loss. Easy shit, right? Fourth game I have my top lane go AFK for the first 8 minutes, and my jungler DC and run straight into their team. Fifth game we're up 10 kills and my ADC goes AFK in our base.

And I'm out of my promos due to AFKs. Again.

I know there's nothing I can do about that now, it sucks, it happened. But Riot, what are you doing to address DCs and AFKs in ranked matches? Sure, next season if someone doesn't connect at the beginning everyone can quit the match, that's a good start.

Will we be getting a "Safe to Leave" option? Can DCed players become bots? Can we control said bots? There are countless other multiplayer games treating AFKs in a much better manner. Why aren't these implemented in League?

I'm actually going to bump this thread just because of what AFKs have really taken away from me. Currently I sit at 90LP, meaning I need one more win to merely get back into my promos. From there I must win 3 of those games, averaging at 30 minutes each. This means in order to get Platinum again, and assuming I do not lose a single match, and assuming each match does not last longer than 30 minutes each, that's another 120 hours of game time (ignoring que time and champ select, roughly another 20 minutes if no one dodges).

The system at the moment is far too punishing for something at no fault of the player. Are there any changes to remedy this? Are any additional measures being taken into consideration for AFKs?

I've already decided I'm done playing 4v5s because Riot is too limp-wristed to make a firm decision on policy. I give AFKs five minutes to return, then I leave, and I don't give a frosted fuck how many low priority queues I have to sit through, it's better than getting unfairly stomped.

My next game had a troll. He died in lane, farmed jungle, then went afk for the next ten minutes. What is this string of luck? And again, what is Riot doing to combat this?

Played a game after the last and surprisingly it went well. First game today tho? Had a Kindred threaten to go Double Jungle if our Jungle Rengar didn't go top against a Renekton. Continues to troll during game.

Again, is Riot doing anything about the community? 4 of my last 5 games have now had AFKs or blatant trolls.

I stopped playing for a good few days, figured it was jut some crazy bad luck spree I had with Solo Q. I played TWO games today, BOTH of which had trolls in it. First game a player didn't get mid so he trolled as Twitch for the first 10 minutes. Second game I had a toxic duo who sold their entire inventory and placed a million wards at fountain because they didn't like our Jungler.

Is Riot doing anything to keep these people out of ranked?
