Ziggs was Overnerfed

Season 3 everyone thought I played a troll champ. Season 4 everyone said I was just following trends. Season 5 and everyone thinks Ziggs is a troll champ.

In case everyone forgot, Ziggs was only in the spotlight for about a couple months, and it was mainly due to a few specific buffs he got.

• QoL buff to his Q, allowing it to be cast outside the indicator range.
• Ult does bonus damage to minions
• Increased range to his W
• Double Damage to minions on Minefield (or something like that, whatever it was, it was rediculous)

Now that Ziggs could turtle even harder than an Anivia with half the mana costs, everyone picked him up and he hit the pro scene quickly. And this, of course, led to a very painful downfall of Ziggs, right back into the rarely-played category.

Now I'll admit, with these buffs he became very strong, especially with the latter two buffs he got with that patch. And I'll even admit that most of the nerfs he got were even justified, as much as it pains me to say.

Nerfs (going from memory here)

• Decreased Minefield damage to minions (justified)
• Reduced passive damage early game (I can live with this)
• Reduced movement speed (I can live with this)
• Increased his Ult CD to a flat 120 seconds at all levels (Ouch, well ok)
• Reduced auto attack range (Really? Well alright)

But the one nerf I can't see justified one bit **- Smaller Q Radius. ** ...really?

The main, main reason Ziggs was never played before his short rise and fall to fame was "Unreliable Damage." Now nerfing back the increased radius of his W, now a huge AoE knockback, I'd completely see as justified. But his Q, his one and only somewhat reliable damage, depending on your aim, of course, is now like half the size it used to be.

I can think of countless other casters with a similar Q that currently have an even larger AoE than Ziggs' old Q, but they are allowed to stay the same. Yet Ziggs, due to his painfully short moment in the spotlight, is nerfed into the pooper. Again, I feel all nerfs could be seen as justified, but reducing the size of his Q was one step way too far.

Ziggs is weaker now than he was in Season 3.
