If he's unable to tank through hard cc while channeling, the entire point of his W is negated. Removing his ability to flash should be good enough. Why remove his ability to tank through stuns? He kinda can't do shit now.

Yeah, the tanking through cc should stay if he cant flash taunt. He needs one of the two, and flash taunt is a hard balance tool that consumes a good bit of the power allocation for his kit, so removing that opens up power to be allocated elsewhere.

Agreed. Well I mean you still get the taunt and burst damage, but if he's not tanking, it's still a big hit to his functionality.

Galio was already insanely weak. This is Riot's "Balance" team at their very best. Gut a champion that is only really used on occasion in pro play as a support instead of a mid or top laner as was previously used. Literally, they are disgusting.

Pro play IS a showcase of champion strength. Galio's wasn't weak, but he did require a good deal of coordination you're just not getting in solo queue.

The problem is that they overnerfed it. There was definitely a need to nerf it, though.

He definitely did not need nerfed at all. He was barely ever even played in Pro play. Tahm Kench/Sona/Naut are played all the time and none of which are touched. Galio was played in no other role and is useless in solo queue compared to that.
