What Champions Should I Buy?

Shukuchi··3 votes·16,435 views

So many champions, already 128 champions released, and SO MANY OPTIONS OF BUYING WHICH ONE!!! I am having trouble of which champions to buy and to see if they are my kind of liking, but I am not sure if I will made the right choice. I am one of a person who tries to make good decision, in this case, choosing the right champions for me to buy. I am more like a mid/support player, and champions that I really like and played much are like Ahri, Blitzcrank, Akali, Kennen (I come to like him), and many more. I like champions who can blink/dash and do massive damages, both far or near distances. I also like any champions that can make outplays, like Zed. I like champions who are assassins, like Zed, Yasuo, and Ahri, as well as high mobility. However, sometimes I do make wrong decision,s like when I bought Bard, even though I played him once. The meaning of this post is for me to make a right decision on the champions I want to buy, before I wasted rps/ips for a champion that I don't even like! I want to know of the following champions are worth buying and might be my play-style before I bought them: Azir, Orianna, Trundle, and Cass. Any suggestions will be fine, though I am hoping to save up points for this new champion, "Jhin." Champions who are not my favorites: Karthus, Kha'Zix, and Brand (I don;t really like his skills.) Thanks for the help! I will look forward to your comments and suggestions.

P.S: My worst role is probably ADC. P.S.S: Should I buy runes first?

you should probably buy runes first, a good rune page will help a lot

but if you want a champ first, i would recommend leblanc based on your play style. she's an AP assassin and she has a blink, can make tons of outplays due to her blink and clone passive. you can do all sorts of stupid shit

I got her, but played her for a few times in coop to get the hang of her.

you might like fizz as well, he's too fucking strong but high mobility high damage not easily caught out, pretty much like zed and leblanc

He is one of the champion that I will most likely buy.

cool :) have fun

I just realized that Orianna is in the free champion rotation week. I will try her tomorrow and I am hoping she is one of the champion I like :D

You'll never be bored playing Orianna. Frustrated perhaps, but never bored.

Shukuchi1 votes

I heard she is one of the hardest champions to master because of her command skills.

Best way to do it as a new player is to just play free week champs and buy the ones you like.

Cover all your bases. You generally want three champions per role, each of which counter each other. Generally speaking, Jungle and Top wants a stat triangle based on primary DPS, primary Burst, or Primary Tankiness. ADC and Mid Lane wants a Utility Carry, a late game Hyper Carry, and a mid game Burst Carry. Support's triangle is Sustain, Poke, and Engage. If you are not sure what these champions are, don't be afraid to ask.

And yes, you should invest in all the roles. Even if you don't main them, having those three primary champs per role guarantees that you aren't left without an option whenever you happen to be forced into the role. You really don't Blitzcrank against a Leona lane, for example, as she stat checks you pretty hard in term of engage potential.

Probably should buy runes before you ever plan on playing Ranked games, but not using them for now enforces better habits, so you shouldn't kill yourself over completing a rune page right away.

I definitely agree to this, I always thought of having a few champions bought for each role.

Vel'Koz has no mobility but he has a stun and slow, high damage, skill ceiling/outplay potential, good range on his abilities and he's easy to last hit with. He's pretty fun and should be played mid.

Shukuchi1 votes

He's underrated however.

Mr Vulcanator1 votes

What's the significance of that?

Shukuchi1 votes

Idk lol. But I will see to him.

Thanks for the suggestion of the runes, and yes, i will always try to play the champions before buying them in the free champion rotation week. But my goal for now is Shaco, should I buy him when I had enough, or start buying runes?

shyie1 votes

Runes is a must. They'll give you such a better early game and they're not too expensive with the recent price reductions. Butttt, since you're level 26, you can enjoy yourself if you feel comfortable with your skill, then go for Shaco my friend.

Shukuchi1 votes

Ya, thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to buy Shaco, then runes.

Shukuchi1 votes

But which rune page should I mainly focus. What I mean by that is like for example, 1 rune page is for AD, and 1 rune page is for AP.

shyie1 votes

Since you play AP champions, go for AP. Just for starters, go flat AP marks and armor seals, magic resist glyphs (scaling if u soaking in that ip) and AP quints. GL!

Thanks for the help, I'll be looking for some guides about the runes.

runes

Shukuchi1 votes

What about Azir?

Shukuchi1 votes

Can I handle his extreme difficulty?

Fatalitý1 votes

at lvl 26 I say skip azir UNLESS you want to main mid and have good experience with other champs If you do buy azir though YOU WILL FEED YOUR FIRST GAME its normal I've never seen any first time azir get fed or know what hes doing he is a hard champ to get used too

Shukuchi1 votes

Yea I want to main mid, and have good experience with other champs, but sometimes I am forced to play other roles... Mostly support but I like it, not adc...

BroLane1 votes

Do you play champs like Trynd and Nasus? Do you generally carry by splitpushing? Pick Trundle.

Shukuchi1 votes

I don't play trynd and Nasus, and yea, I was thinking off Trundle support. I am like mid/support, and maybe I will try him. BUT IT'S TOO LATE, I FORGOT TO PLAY HIM!!!

Buy who you think looks fun to play!Ashe Shen Janna Ezreal Zyra Taric :D

Shukuchi1 votes

I like shen (though he has a rework :( ), janna (will buy her eventually), Zyra (tried her and she is good!). Already bought Ezreal and Ashe, both pretty good. (Stole a dragon once with Ezreal by the inhib turret.)

Buy runes first definately I recommend you buy nidalee she helps you with skill shot practice and knowing when to go in and knowing when NOT to go in She takes some time to get used too but she can help your overall skill if you can get good with her [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Shukuchi1 votes

Already got her :) And ya she is interesting.
