Because the gamemode is fun, but the only way to consistently enjoy it is to make a new account so that everybody has to play random champions rather than their mains...

I think random is fine if it is random, but it isn't. Seeing the same champions again and again when it should be 1/14 to see those champions is a bit ridiculous to me. Either make the gamemode actually random and not favor specific champions or add bans, it is that simple. I have seen way too much Veigar and Zed to see any randomness. Either that or there are people who have ARURF accounts only, which doesn't matter anyways cause they still have the free rotation to go through.

As I have noticed no such trend in the few games I played, I will patiently wait for a detailed study of this non-randomness you're talking about. Otherwise it might be like the old iTunes: people, including you, see what they want to see rather than what actually happens. It's entirely random, but you're so outraged when you see Zed in the opposing team that you remember mostly him out of the few games you played.

Well, that's only one mildly satisfying explanation; I can't quite prove it with what little info I have. Still, an insight: out of the 13 recent URF matches shown by your account's op.gg webpage, Veigar appears three times; Zed none. Which is far from insufferable to me regarding statistics.

It's like tossing a coin 10 times and saying it's rigged because it lands on tails 7 times: if it was to always be as close to 50/50 as possible, then you could predict the outcome of every second toss. First landed on tails? Second will land on heads. That's not realistic. Do record fairly the results of at the very least a hundred matches, and only then will you have hints to a tendency.

I don't think Riot will ever change the problematic nature of those random-mode-only accounts that can bypass the randomness by just owning fewer champions.
