The Raka Decision Debate #67

So Exibit A. We have just defeated Baron, and I am trying to utilize the buff the best way I can because I one do no damage as Raka. And B my teammates built 0 armor and get bursted instantly making my heal useless. To include ezreal. He built blade of ruined king instead of iceborn. I mean literally 0 armor or Mr on anyone to heal them once from death. So my best thought process for me was to push the buff as far as I could and split their team if possible. Im not complaining just trying to think of a way to win...

See Picture (My team engages a Fight instead of defending or pushing a lane.) A 3v5 they know they are there because they are chasing. If I was there they would be full hp as seen in picture but the second they are touched they are dead. Did I make the wrong decision in pushing top? Or did my team engage in a silly manner?

See picture 2 (Had my team successfully defended for 2 more mins instead of chasing in my mind a few things could of happened. I would of forced the enemy to back. Or my team could of killed them and I set up the easy win for top push with 2-3 dead.

Had I stayed back I think I would have prevented nothing because of the burst vs no resistance. Nor would Have I done damage. ANd had we successfully defended. At best we could defend again with no offense.

Maybe my team just wanted the "Military way" of being honorable when defeated. It is rumored that the Gold ball on top of the american flag pole at bases is said to have 5 items. A razor. A match. A bullet, A Penny, A pistol.

A razor to cut the stripes of the flag. A match to burn the Flag. A bullet and pistol to end your own life. A penny so america will never be broke.

So the question lies on the table.

Did I make the "Best" decision I could. Based on what I thought was best? Or should I have just died with my team?

There's another saying.

"Who are you trying to convince?"

You made the wrong decision. In fact, you made someone else's decision, even though you aren't them and it's not your role to do so.

Shen, the top laner with the global ulti, should have made the good decision to go top, not you. You are literally the worst person on the team to be pushing alone.

Your "decision" should be to ping top and communicate to your team that Shen should be pushing it. That's his job, not yours. Call him out, say what his role is and why he should be doing it, and then go help the rest of your team hold off the push, because that's what your role is.

If he doesn't listen to you, then you lose the game; we've established this, both sides of the decision you proposed just don't work out. Soraka can't make a game winning push by herself even with Baron buff, and even if you hold out 4v5 you've gained nothing and will just have to defend again.

Sometimes you lose and it's because someone else didn't think to do something, even though you did. And if you said nothing, the fault for losing lies partially with you, for not even at least suggesting to them the right thing to do.
