Quality of life buff for deathfire touch

Can we see how much damage it does? Like fiddle W and amumu W, we get to see the cumulative damage done, by the whole spell on a target. (instead of 8, 8 ,8, 8 damage per second we get to see 8,16,24,32)

RIght now it only ticks, and doesn't show us the cumulative damage done.

It does feel nice seeing big numbers, even if it takes a couple seconds to get there.

Seems superfluous.

why? It will allow people who under-estimate death fire touch to realize where the damage is coming from, or realize how much damage its not doing. Either way, it boosts clarity.

The repeated 8s is more clear then seeing 200 dmg and wondering if someone just auto attacked your

Because superfluous is a good word and deserves repeating.

Clarity in a game about numbers is never superfluous.

Sounds less clear when you see a 200 quest over them when it only just did 15 dmg. You can hover over your keystone to see total dmg.

Dracocrash1 votes

no you cant. Every spell does different damage, depending on its type and the enemies resistances.

also make it scale with total ad instead of bonus ad.

Pretty sure Jhin is stronk as is.

pretty sure it would be a nerf to jhin, if the bonus ad ratio was reduced so the base ad could factor in. im not asking to just buff the mastery. that would break a load of champions. just to change the scaling for ad champions. that would hit jhin, but its not like he doesnt have plenty other options.

many people dind't understand the implications of what you were saying, so I think you got down votes.

I say, remove the AD scaling all together, (buff base damage if needed) and make it an AP only mastery. AD's have enough masteries anyway.

It's going to get pretty distracting for DoT champions. Imagine Brand, with his passive, Liandry's, and DFT all ticking at the same time...

Don't they just get combined into one? A Lich Bane on a champion with enhanced AA damage in the kit just shows two numbers (physical from AA and magic from Lich Bane and the spell).

Dracocrash3 votes

In brands case it could show total damage, including liandary DFT and passive ticks. :) Would be better than just showing 1

I'm pretty sure it just gets combined into one fam.

-Presses O -hovers over my deathfire touch mastery symbol -Sees the damage

Raven Redeemed2 votes

-Looks at screen -See the damage (the actual damage after resistances)

He's not saying it necessary, it would just be nice (quality of life).

Dracocrash1 votes

also the damage is different for single target spells AOE spells and DOT spells.

Because it can be re-applied every time the damage tick refreshes and, as such, does not have a fixed duration. It can't tell you the cumulative damage dealt because a champion like Varus might only be able to apply it every 5 or so seconds with Q, meanwhile Cassiopeia can theoretically reapply it indefinitely.

Dracocrash1 votes

I don't understand what you are trying to say. If you reapply deathfire touch, then the damage just continues ticking and you can continue seeing the damage you did. Whats the problem?
