Monkey D Luffy··2 votes·9,645 views

I can't seem to get an S+ for the life of me...

I even had a game where I went 2/3/33 but got s-, Ughhh, please help me almighty Blitzcrank masters ;-;

I will try this, ty.

Please don't. That was sarcasm, and this is an horrible build.

It would be fine if there was already enough tanks to cover the need for one. It's just not the ideal build for him in a typical situation. A team that stresses more individual/alt lane board strategies could benefit from an AP Blitz as they could merc the enemy down fast. They would just have issues in teamfights. Again, not ideal, but in the right situation that build could work just fine.

DeathBurst1 votes

You're not wrong, but all that means that someone who's coming here asking for tips probably hasn't the perspective and the broad game knowledge to actually use it in the right circumstances.

CoolKnightST1 votes

Yeah I was trolling. The legit AP build for AP blitz is:

  • item 2301 item 3009
  • IF behind> item 3025

  • IF snowballing> item 3057 into AP

You need to perform in the top 2% of all blitzcrank players in the role you're playing (presumably sup) to get an S+. Since blitz is fairly popular/strong these days, you need to have a pretty godly performance to squeeze out an S+.

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Wait, that's how an S+ is decided? How do you know? Thanks for the info but... Damn....

Mysticman891 votes

All the grades are based on your percentile performance, as is explained in riots support article on champion mastery. The particular 2% number for s+ was mentioned in one of the podcasts around the time of hextech craftings release.

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Ah... thanks

EMeta1 votes

Based on your performance in the role you're in. Supports are graded against other supports, junglers against junglers. Since most Blitz jungles are troll-picks, that's probably a relatively easy position to get the S+ on.

Wait for someone else to get an S+.....THEN YOU HOOK THAT BITCH FOR YOURSELF!!!!

Get in a team, Que in as Blitzcrank ADC with a Lucian or Vayne Support. Then you both can get S+ if you do well.

Monkey D Luffy1 votes

Wdym?

Rand0mH3r0X1 votes

The champion you play in the role your playing matters. If you Jungle Sona, your S grade will be dependent on how you average against other Sona Jungle.

Mysticman891 votes

While this is true, keep in mind that the system is smart enough to know the role you're actually playing, and doesn't just go by the role you were assigned.

So if you want to go blitz adc with a vayne support, then sure it would require relatively 'meh' scores to get S+'s, but vayne support is probably going to be pretty lame (blitz adc is technically a thing). If blitz 'adc' and vayne 'support' involves vayne csing and blitz building a support item instead of vice versa, then the vayne will be compared to vayne adc's even if they queued as support, and the blitz compared to blitz supports.

As such if I was trying to get an 'easy' S grade by playing off-meta stuff, I'd play whatever off-meta adc, and hope that I had an exceptionally talented meta support to actually support properly and ideally spoon feed the kills to me and/or keep me alive. (Alternatively, I'd want a top tier adc as I played an extremely off meta support, who could basically carry themselves and I'd be there to 'help' leech assists while probably not actually being that effective.)

edit: And for what it's worth I suspect lucian might possibly be one of the worst possible supports. Everyone one of his abilities is damage focused and doesn't offer any utility. Vayne support could at least be 'supporty' by condeming someone into a wall or away from the carry.

Riot might update the grading system from time to time. I'm not sure how true my theory still stands, but, I base it off personal experience.

I've gotten S+ with Jungle Graves several times, especially with his rerelease and the fact that nobody would consider jungling Graves. I was jungling ADC since the start of the new jungle, especially teemo, and whenever the grading system came along, S grades were just as easy as rolling the enemy team over.

Mysticman891 votes

Well the grade requirements are in constant flux as more performances come in, so an S+ grade on a role/champ before it's popular is probably going to be easier than after it is and theres tons of really good people playing the champ/role.

My point was just that they've said right from release that the system is smart enough to know the role you're playing, even if it differs from the one you were assigned, or if you do something like a lane swap or something like that. The support will still be graded compared to other supports on that champ, and the adc will still be compared to other adcs on that champ. Since you said vayne sup and blitz adc, it sounded like you thought you could trick the system by playing them in their meta roles despite that being the opposite of the assigned roles.

Off-meta champ choices for whatever role are probably easier if you can manage an ok performance, it's just rather hard to actually do ok, as often times the off-meta champs are off-meta for a reason. I've gotten an S+ as jungle janna before, but I absolutely wouldn't recommend jungling as janna, it just ended up being a stompy match.

Go AD bruiser or full AP top and wreck your lane while getting all the sweet sweet cs. Then go to other lanes and do the same thing!

EMeta1 votes

Wards, man. Buy a pink and place it somewhere aggressive every back. Use your yellow wards on CD. They play a huge part in your score.
