8/21 PBE Update: Spectator HUD update, Show Spell Costs Options, and more tentative Balance Changes

Lux Light Binding (Q) mana cost reduced to 50/55/60/65/70 from 50/60/70/80/90 Light Binding (Q) now deals full damage and snare duration to second target, up from 50%

Nice to see her getting some love. Considering the fact that many find her inferior to Orianna, Morgana, Ziggs and Xerath, she definitely needs this one.

Now, I hate to be "THAT GUY", but why is the mana cost buff to Lux's Q? Isn't it her E that has the absurd cost?

Lux is already the 3rd best mid laner in the game. She doesn't need buffs. I'd assume this is a buff for support Lux?

Now that you mention it, yeah, it could be a support Lux buff. She right now is among the worst of the traditional support picks because her mana is too costly, and maxing her Q early doesn't work on live.

No she's not. Viktor (at least pre nerf), Vlad, Azir, and Ahri are all stronger.

She's not bad by any means but she's not top tier either.

I'm still waiting for Lux passive to grant vision. Really tired of having absolutely no way to confirm a hit on Q in fog without spending 100+ mana for E. Now that Riot seems to be throwing free vision grant on the most ridiculous abilities (read: Darius pull), I really don't understand why a passive called "Illumination" doesn't give vision. Hell, give it true sight and allow Lux to fall into an anti-stealth support mage niche. If that's too much, just give her E true sight in the active area.

I'm sure they have their reasons. Maybe it'd be too much vision for Lux if her passive gave sight.

As for true sight, no, that's too much power. Hell, the true sight shouldn't even be on Lee Sin (at least for his E).

im just really, really sad that it's literally impossible to hit confirm Q in fog without spending a further 15% of your mana bar

if you take the mastery where spells increase your aa damage, you can acutally look to see if you get the buff. I dont know if its worth two mastery points, but you could give it a try.

There are so many champs that have vision far superior to lux's E and R that come up more frequently at a lower survival/damage cost.
