One small thing about Fiddlesticks

ForgottenLuck··2 votes·777 views

*This is gonna talk about Jungle Fiddlesticks and I don't think this will affect him in lane allot so I don't think no one should worry, just an FYI Ok I am completely new to Fiddlesticks only playing him twice versus bot's in practice mode so maybe I don't have much room to speak but I found that he has a really slow clear speed on jungle monsters even in late game so I would offer a small solution to this. > Make it so that if the monster targeted by his W dies while its duration it would automatically switch to the next closest monster till the end of its duration

I think with this it solves, at least on a small part, some of his wave clear on jungle creatures, especially on early game where I find (at least my opinion) has quite a big CD on his spell's What do you guys think would this be a good change?

I mean it's cooldown is relatively low. It has a 10second Cd but channels for 5 meaning its cooldown is 5 seconds... Pretty short.

I was kinda talking about his other spell's with his Q at rank one being 15 and his E being 15 second's and if the monster dies it cancels the channel leaving the rest of the CD

You miss the point. You want fiddle to clear the jungle FASTER you will have to give up his ability to do it WITHOUT TAKING DMG. You can't give fiddle everything. Stop.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

What? What do you mean how wold this stop him from taking dmg or healing himself?

MisterHealYoGirl1 votes

In balance terms, Fiddlesticks' slow clear speed is offset by his extremely high sustain. If he was changed to have a more rapid clear, that sustain would have to be heavily nerfed or removed.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

Trundle has just as good of a sustain with his w and passive yet can clear it out faster at earlier stages than fiddlesticks plus he also is bulkier than fiddlesticks letting him take more dmg i usually only take one health potion or sometimes just a mana potion if i wish to stay longer, or start red so I don't really understand how that balances him

MisterHealYoGirl1 votes

And Trundle pays for that in other areas. Fiddlesticks' ultimate is one of the few abilities in the game that can force an entire team to "scatter or die". Trundle is a tank and a splitpusher, but he doesn't have too much CC, aside from her irritating slows. Everyone has drawbacks. Fiddle's is his clearspeed.

true but his ult also has a delay that, if the enemy team see's him during that they can easily avoid it with little too no problem, and he also is quite squishy not to mention not the fastest making ganks a bit lack luster, his attack animations horrible with to long a wind up and you are forced to hit the creatures slowly if they are too weak to waste the mana on the drain early game, this would also help his sustain in the mana part which even though i saw little problem with it I had some difficulty from time to time, and with how runeglaive now works being with auto attack more buying it is a less useful than one would wish, so i find that he has allot more weakness (especially with runeglaive) than advantages,so I found enough reason to warrant this small time buff

Fiddlesticks's Drain is if I am not mistaken the single most damaging single target spell in the game excluding Ulti's. It deals and I quote TONS OF DAMAGE , and it does the most dmg on targets that take the full channel. Jungle monsters aside from Scuttle Crab don't run from you, thus Fiddlesticks' Drain is the most effective on, jungle monsters that fight you while remaining stationary. Add onto this that his Drain HEALS him back, regardless of how much dmg it deals. It heals for a flat amount, so draining a target with loads of magic resist is fine.

Not only that, with cooldown reduction, you can Drain a monster, and before Drain finishes its channel, you can cast Drain again, DURING Drain! Literally with a machete and 2 red pots, you can stay in the jungle with Fiddlesticks indefinately. Before the jungle rework, I would take a pair of Boots, red pots and 1 green ward, and I was fine. Fiddle's clear may be a bit slow, but it is unequivically the game's safest clear.

I actually dislike how Runglaive cuts Fiddle out of the mage path for jungle items, as he has among the game's absolute worst auto attacks, and animations for his auto attack. (There is alot of "wind up" before he actually produces and releases the projectile of his auto attack ) So I just get Cinderhulk on him, gives him sustainability and the immolate passive is nice as it can stack ontop of his Crowstorm and Drain dmgs.

I agree that I found it did allot of damage but I am not asking for a higher CD just that it changes targets on jungle monsters when they die to the closest one next to it to help his clear speed this change should not affect his lane area or team fight's since it would only be for the monsters in the jungle

Faith Breaker1 votes

His clear speed is fine. Pick a different champ if you want to do things faster.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

I found it slow in comparison to champs like Trundle Evelynn (going ap) Skarner Sejuani so I put this on the form but you must also see that it is slow even in late game where many champ's usually don't take as long as him clear even the Raptor's take more time with him

You are wrong and your opinion is invalid.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

Well aren't you rude, may I ask how exactly is my opinion wrong or any opinion on the matter? I have shown no disrespect to you in any way, and was only stating what I found to be true, I ask of you to please that if you wish to continue this discussion please grow up a bit and be more respectful of others opinion and view's on the matter or I will be forced to ask you to just leave this discussion and not come back.

Faith Breaker1 votes

Being rude does not make me wrong. You are wrong. And salty and bitter because you childishly refuse to accept reality. Get mad.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

You have yet to point out any way in how my change is in the wrong, and, I am not salty or mad, but I will ask for respect since I have shown you no such disrespect as to say that your opinion is in the wrong, you should use your words and explain your reasons since that's what a civilized discussion can grow, and not just say "your wrong cause I say so", those types of arguments are similar to those of children and barbarians, I on the other hand have given you reason after example on why I find these changes would benefit him while not changing the game or his game play drastically.

His clear speed isn't that slow for being able to walk out of the jungle with full health.

What they need to do is make a jungle enchantment suitable for him, because I think every game I see Fiddle will not finish his jungle item simply, because it's not good on him at all.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

That is a much bigger change in the game's format and I have no power in the say of it but I agree it would be nice change if they did make a new jun item for all AP jungle and in all honestly would prefer it yet I think for that it would take more time to achieve, I only put this solution as a small fix for him

LegacyDAP1 votes

He'd be a midlaner with your change honestly. It's like a healing malzahar at that point.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

What, how? This a affects only jungle monsters, I never said anything about minions or champions, they could code it for it not to affect minions I bet with little trouble.

LegacyDAP1 votes

Well his clear speed is probably the strongest in the game with your change. He could take anybody's buffs, and it makes him god tier imo. He would just have insane clear speed.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

I don't necessarily belive that, the duration of the spell is still 5 seconds and in comparison to other jungle champs with good clear speed, such as udyr, nunu shyvana, warwick, and master yi, I imagine his would still be slower, it would only help to maybe close a bit of the gap between them, but since neither one of us can confirm or disconfirm this, it would be a pointless argument to follow, yet I will say my stance and say that I think it would only even him out with them, and if riot would ever check this post out, I would like for them to put this change in PBE just to see how different and fast it would really be

LegacyDAP1 votes

It's fast because no jungler can clear the jungle fast and still come out with full health, and gank. Fiddle is extremely strong with this because CD Runes and Masteries exist, and at level one you only have to wait like 4 seconds to use it yet with some CD Runes while still having decent damage, and you can spam W on a monster, and when it gets to like 200 health you'll auto it 4 times, but with your change you just press w and it gets rid of the small monsters too.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

Nunu and trundle can easily also clear the jungle fast with full if not close to full HP yet you are willing to say that they don't exist and lets not forget about mana, Fid still needs mana and from what i found from playing some more with him he is quite hungry with it in the early game, lets also not forget that his AA are terrible, they have a long wind-up and are quite slow plus his W does not need CD it has a 5 sec CD if it ends the animation on the target so may I ask how he would this change make him broken?

LegacyDAP1 votes

I just told you. Animation lasts forever clear the jungle quickly. Nunu can't gank as reliably, and Trundle kind of depends on early ganks to get snowballing. You're not mana hungry when you have blue, and if you do get mana hungry you buy items to compensate for that. I've never gotten mana hungry to the point I wasn't able to use W, so maybe that's just a you thing, because his mana regen scales quite well later. Around 8 mana per second.

I'm just telling you he'll be clearing the jungle extremely fast.

ForgottenLuck1 votes

Fid has some of the worst ganking power I have ever seen, even in comparison to trundle and nunu (which is saying something) so I don't really understand how you are saying his is better, with Trundle having a move speed bonus on his W and a small knock up (if hit on champ) and slow on E with a good amount of range, and, Nunu having slows and speed boost for himself or another teammate helps him allot, plus his MS is already lower than theirs, his being 335 and them having 350, and with his only good cc is a short panic at rank 1 Fid has some awful ganking prowess, and on the topic of him being somewhat mana hungry I will say he is in just that he needs to use his E to kill the small jungle monsters faster than he would with his awful AA ad not so wasting Wand even though you keep saying that his clear would be incredibly fast I am still not as such a believer as you, I imagine it would let him have an easier time clearing jungle yes but still not as fast as lets say Yi, Nunu, or Trundle though this topic again can only be confirmed or dis confirmed if Riot ever try's this change and lets it hit PBE
