He probably now possesses a time rune and I am glad what this new lore can bring to him.

People tend to voice displeasure louder than anything else. Zilean is also just not a popular champion at all.

That being said I really like the Zilean stuff

It was a meme from riot and it was worked into Zilean's old lore he was from an ancient civilization he went into secluded meditation the ursine destroyed the civilization he came out of secluded meditation. Zilean joined league Volibear joined league and Zilean protested it Volibear joining league.

i wasnt really meaning you in particular but you as in any one who reads this. this applies on general hence why negative comments are louder. good things are supposed to be the normal state of things and bad things are abnormal and hence called out.

Yeah that applies to things like for example game balance and what not. However when it comes to lore, it's an entirely different thing all together because one person can be of the opinion that the story was changed for the worse, while another will argue that there's nothing inherently wrong with the changes- think Batman Vs Superman, objectively a bad film, yet subjectively enjoyed by many. Hell even Marvel films have subjectively tame plot but objectively enjoyed by the masses.

Anyway the difference in this scenario is that these short bio changes don't convey any of these character's full story yet, to jump the gun is not objective criticism, that's subjective criticism. But that's fine because nerdom have been jumping the gun every single time their expectations are broken, but god forbid that having expectations be broken isn't inherently a bad thing.

Having said that, I'm confident all the current concern will be subsided once these characters get their respected lore updates.

dc and marvel get shit on because they make movies of already created content then tell the story entirely diffrent to appeal to people who didnt read the comics. Riot gets shit on because it in the 3 years of since lore was revamped they only have near 50 pages of champion back ground for over 120 champions and less than 20 pages of lore that has any pretense of a story. Riot is too slow in lore you can expect to keep a grown person with a job in this game maybe 3 years and sub 15 year olds maybe 5 years on average if they didnt drop the game in the first 3 months of playing. and in the 3 years since lore revamped they got as far as creating a back ground for maybe 5 city states (6 if you count zuan which is now piltovers slums)

The bulk of lore updates is integral with new champions and reworks. Since season 5 there's been 8-9 champ related updates over 12 months, so we basically get champs in intervals of every 1.5 months. Same goes for lore obviously. While the other 3 maybe 4 months free are for mid and pre season changes.

That's legitimately a consistent rate as well as the most efficient rotation. Im not saying lets not have more per year but I'm honest to god always at a loss when people think lore distribution is "too slow".

Also what you said just above is an entirely different topic than what I was addressing earlier.

Thanks god that the theory from this one guy in the boards here, that Zilean will become a Piltover deity ala Janna, was wrong. I can't really stand Zilean and seeing him becoming part of Piltover would tilt me to no end. x__x

I still think once Zilean gets a VGU, he'll be reworked into a time deity of some sort, albeit not necessarily a Piltovan one.

These lore bios are pretty much placeholders for champions who are slated for a rework in the next few years.

They are updating the bio's of many champs, but please note that many of these are just placeholders and are subject to change or modification. These are only to give us a taste of their lore and don't tell us their full story, but I am content to get something of the old man, he deserves it. I cared alot for ZIllean i loved his gameplay and i started paying attention to his lore when i found out he was enemies with my one of my old mains at the time. we just didnt have anything else to love on him
